Villa Pelagia is a spacious house built in local stone. Tucked away in a quiet corner of the popular resort of Stoupa, it’s just an hour and fifteen minutes from Kalamata Airport. For the intrepid, there is direct access to the sea via a rocky path. The nearest sandy beach is two minutes walk away, with the main beaches of Stoupa Bay and the glamorous Kalogria approximately five minutes away. Its unique position on the headland between these two beaches combines seclusion with convenience. There are lots of traditional tavernas and lively bars within easy walking distance.
A luxurious holiday home designed for a couple but with ample accommodation for an extra adult or child, the villa is beautifully appointed throughout. The spacious living room features an open fireplace and combines comfort with many stylish design elements. Large French windows open onto a furnished terrace facing the sea, with a sunbathing area just in front.
The bespoke kitchen has been built in natural wood by a local craftsman. As well as essentials like a full size cooker, a large fridge freezer, a kettle, a toaster and coffee machine, there is an integrated dishwasher and a washing machine.
The flat screen TV is discreetly wall mounted, and has a USB port. There is also a radio unit with USB and Bluetooth, so you can bring your favourite films and music with you.
The ground floor is provided with a stylish shower room and a small wardrobe for the comfort of guests sleeping downstairs.
Upstairs the stunning master bedroom features a large freestanding bathtub, with a separate shower room and a WC. Ample storage is provided and there is also a small suntrap terrace off the bedroom.
With complimentary wifi provided, you can enjoy the seclusion of the villa without feeling cut off from the world.

Stoupa has two beautiful sandy beaches, Stoupa Bay and Kalogria. Sheltered by the dramatic backdrop of the Taygetos mountain range, Stoupa enjoys a microclimate that is among the warmest in Europe. Fresh water flowing underground is released offshore and keeps the water cool and clean for bathers. There are several excellent tavernas in Stoupa serving traditional Greek fare based on our wonderful local produce, as well as coffee bars, gift shops, supermarkets, cash dispensers and a chemist. There are two doctor’s surgeries in Stoupa, and a 24 hour clinic in Agios Nikolaos (4 kms away) plus a local dentist.
Car Hire, Bicycle Rental and excursions by coach are all available from local agents in Stoupa. There is a PADI approved dive school based on Kalogria and yoga and mosaic courses are available locally. Visitors can join local residents on organised walks, or simply explore the wonderful landscape at your own pace.
Stoupa is ideally placed for exploring many places of classical and historic interest such as Ancient Olympia, Byzantine Mystras, Monemvasia, Mount Ithomi and of course the spectacular Diros caves and the wild Mani Peninsula.
With short, mild winters, the Mani is perfect for off-season walking, cycling or motoring holidays. In November and December you can enjoy the buzz of the olive harvest going on around you, while writers and artists are drawn to Stoupa all year round.

Summary: As stated in other reviews, the pics do not do this place justice. It is a beautiful villa that is very romantic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Safe, sea view, welcoming, beautiful grounds, off street parking, quiet, spacious, walking distance to Stoupa beach and Kalorgias beach. Also very close to Enigma cafe for a coffee in the morning if you don’t want to make your own. The place is fully stocked with appliances.

Summary: Superlative in every respect. The rental surpassed our expectations. Super, sophisticated aesthetic, every touchpoint was elegant, thoughtful, chic. A stocked kitchen with condiments, cafe, teas, fruit, water. A lovely surprise. The location CANNOT BE BETTER!! On the water, a short walk to the LOVELIEST beach and the finest restaurant on Stoupa. Ilastres. I cannot recommend strongly enough. And the family renting to us made check-in super simple. Arrival email was perfect. Highly recommend and know I will return in the future.
