Hope Cottage is quintessentially Cotswolds through and through; effortlessly combining cosy and characterful with contemporary and fresh. Perfect for a family holiday or gathering of friends; the spacious dining kitchen is the real heart of the home, with plenty of storage, granite tops and high-end appliances, complemented by a large rustic dining table for everyone to gather around, a charming snug providing a second comfy sitting area, and french doors flooding the room with light and spilling out onto the pretty raised terrace. The welcoming sitting room offers a bright and peaceful space to relax by the wood burning stove and enjoys the same period features, oak latch doors, exposed beams and Cotswold stone walls found throughout this pretty cottage. Stairs lead from the sitting room up to the three spacious bedrooms, where a choice of the principle room with a king-size bed and en-suite, or two charming twin bedrooms sharing the family bathroom await.
Outside, the raised terrace is furnished with a dining set and charcoal barbecue, and looks out to the lovely walled garden, bordered with mature planting, topiary and surrounded by trees and countryside.

Summary: We had an excellent stay at Hope Cottage. We stayed with friends and there was ample room for six adults. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed for some home cooking, as an alternative there are two good pubs within walking distance, both of which good value and tasty food.

Summary: Stayed here for a week with 3 generations and we had a lovely time. The cottage is big, comfortable and as well equipped as any that I have stayed in, with pretty much everything that you could need in the kitchen (including empty cupboards for food, which is rare) and an endless supply of logs, kindling and lighters for the open fire. The location is very remote, with a 10 minute drive to find a white line in the road which means that even nearby places take a while to get to and from, but with that comes peace and quiet which is what we were looking for.

Summary: We love the layout and comfort of the property. Although it was wet and cold out, inside when we had lit the woodburner it was perfect. I had forgotten about rush-hour traffic from 7am, not something I am used to in my own home.

Summary: Everything was prepared so thoughtfully and laid out for practical everyday use. Tasteful Christmas tree and decorations too. The whole family loved this cottage from the moment we arrived, And stepping out on the public footpath, such a lovely view across the river towards the village!

Summary: We all loved Hope Cottage. It is located in a small quiet village, with a nice pub nearby (The New Inn) just over one mile away. The interior is beautifully decorated and has quality fittings and furnishing. It was larger than we expected inside, and we were very happy with the layout. All of kitchen equipment (cups, glasses, pans, etc. ) was of high quality, and everything was provided that you would want. The whole place was spotless and impeccable. Wifi was great although be aware that normal mobile telephone reception is poor in the village; set you mobile to wifi calling if you can. Happy to come back again in the future if we need to stay in this area. There are some nice walks/footpaths to follow locally. And we managed to park 4x cars in the driveway !

Summary: We had a lovely stay at Hope Cottage over Christmas 2023 with 6 adults and a baby. The house is very well equipped and beautifully decorated throughout, we appreciated the extra Christmas decorations too. The living room is cosy with a log burner and comfortable chairs for us all and the kitchen diner is spacious. Would definitely come back.

Summary: Lovely well maintained well equip cottage with everything you could need. Out of the village but made it even more peaceful and stunning small garden. Short walk to the local pub with hearty food although best walking in daylight due to dark bendy lanes. Other great walks nearby. Only downside was log fire - very smokey even with specific instructions. We will definitely consider returning.

Summary: A very comfortable cottage for a family stay. Snug in kitchen/ diner worked really well. Lucky enough to be able to sit out in attractive garden. Several walks nearby and pub in village was very welcoming with good food.
