BIG NEWS: I blocked next summer's dates because the summer of 2024 will be unusual. After 69 years of preservation we are adding a Lodge to the property behind this cabin. We are starting in September, but it is hard to predict where we will be in the process by June of 2024. Heavy rain and lack of labor will slow progress. We could be finished, or still be putting on finishing touches. I will not rent the cabin to you if I feel your time would be compromised by construction noise or upheaval. On the other hand, if I think the disturbance will be minor, I will rent it at our regular low rates. The best thing to do is shoot me an email telling me what dates you are interested in and I will get back to you as soon as I know where we stand. VRBO will not allow us to exchange phone numbers until you have booked, so watch for an email from me.
Note that the month of July and early August are already taken by returning guests if it is possible to rent.

To me this setting and this cottage are a little bit of heaven on Earth. The scenic beauty, the crystal clearwater with sand bottom, the purring lake boats, the bright colored sailboats and kayaks silently gliding by, and the smell of cool, pine-scented air all combine to make this an enchanting and relaxing place.

This cozy, authentic log cabin is affectionately called 'Demilog' because of its construction of half logs that are round on the outside and flat on the inside. My grandfather built it in 1939. We have purposely kept the cabin simple so that it feels like a step back in time. It is fully furnished so all you need to bring are your sheets and towels. Note that there is no dishwasher, television, computer. There is excellent cell phone reception for AT&T users but it is a little weaker for Verizon users. There is a fire ring to enjoy after a day of swimming, hiking, boating, fishing or sight seeing.

Summary: Another amazing week in what has to be the best spot on Lake George. The view, the location and the lake are the stars but the cabin is clean, comfortable and has every amenity you might need. Lee and family are wonderful hosts- thank you for sharing your property with us.

Summary: Second year coming. Cozy cottage with a screen porch with water views and a shared dock for swimming or launching a kayak or paddle board. Sharing the property with another cabin was fine - friendly neighbors and everyone respected quiet time. The lake is pristine and views are stunning. Super relaxing place to spend a week. Drive 30 minutes to the town of lake George for shopping, dining, a stream boat tour. We will be back!

Summary: This was my family's first trip to Lake George and it couldn't have gone better! Demilog was so cute... the perfect rustic cabin to make our ADK trip dreams a reality. The dock is absolutely stunning we enjoyed swimming in the ceystal clear water and using the kayaks! My kids 3 and 5 loved the loft and lifting their toys and animals up and down. The beds were comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. It was nice not having TV or computer but still having cell reception. I loved having my morning coffee on the porch or down at the end of the dock and taking in the breathtaking scenery then spending our nights around the table playing games or by the fire. The cabin is about 30 minutes outside Lake George Village attractions and Ticonderoga on the other end. Driving to either end was beautiful. There is the sweetest little General Store 4 miles away that had most everything we needed. Lee was amazing throughout the whole experience! We also met some really nice neighbors who were staying at thenother cabin Overlook. It was very quiet and peaceful. We left feeling so renewed. Overall a 10/10 experience for us and we will be back! Thank you Lee for sharing this little piece of paradise with us all!

Summary: Description was spot on! It’s dusty but to no one’s fault, it’s the climate. Our cars were covered too within 1 day of dust/pollen. Hot water! Shower pressure was fine. We only slept in the queen bed but it was comfortable. Over all it’s a cozy cabin, with a good screened in porch to sit and just look at nature and the lake.

Summary: We had an AMAZING TIME! This was our first time staying up at Lake George. This was also our first time staying somewhere other than a typical hotel/motel. Lee was amazing. She gave us her cell phone number and was so communicative and attentative as a host. The cabin was so comfy and had all of the necessities. This was a mini honeymoon for us [ we were unable to honeymoon during the pandemic at its height back in 2020]. We are so happy we chose this experience and to stay in one of Lee's cabins. The lake is right there. Lee gives such a detailed list of pointers and information about the cabin and the experience. She also gave us ideas for tourist attractions, which we definitely looked into and enjoyed. We met theother traveler staying in the cabin 90 feet away, and she was a delight. We were thankful for Lee's directions to the property as well. The GPS was accurate, but the landmarks helped. Such a fun experience. The cabin was cozy and just right for us. We enjoyed breakfast on the porch and woke up with the sunrise. The left in Demilog made us feel like kids again with the bucket and pulley for the stuffed animals and we loved how the kitchen had all of the amenities we needed. Definitely read the directions in " The Scoop" when you book your stay. They helped immensely. Thank you for such an amazing stay. We were nervous having never stayed in a cabin before, and Lee was so thorough and attentive as a host and even left us an anniversary gift. Thank you!!!!
