Summary: Me and my GF arrived in Birmingham before noon when check in is at 4pm. It was my GF birthday weekend …. She called the front desk to discuss the situation and without hesitation we were told just to drive to the Hotel and a room is already available for us! Once we arrived at the Hotel… the Clerk gave us each a free breakfast card as a birthday gift, upgraded us to a 12th floor Corner room with only 2 other rooms near us! Then to add to all that welcoming we received….Matt Rife (the reason we booked the room to attend his event at the new Coca-Cola Amphitheater) was also stayin in the hotel along with his comedian homies, which we met at the hotel elevators after the event

Summary: There are four elevators and three were inoperable. With hundreds of guests having to go up and down 16 floors was totally unacceptable. wainting times was as much as 10 minutes or more to get on the one small elevator that worked. Marriot should be ashamed of this poor service.and to charge $35.00 for valet parking was a travesty. I paid nearly $400 a night for my room and you'd think for that price the hotel could provide free parking.

Summary: Right in downtown Birmingham. The area felt safe but most of the buildings were empty. Valet staff was very friendly & helpful. The front desk attendant was NOT friendly at all when we checked in.

Summary: Didn’t love the decor of this property and it was a little noisy. We could hear traffic noise from the street. Did not like the doors on the shower and commode area. Bed was comfortable though.
