Positive: The property was exceptional, immaculate and finished to a very high standard. Everything felt fresh and new. The hosts Nektarios and his wife could not have been more helpful. He waited up to the small hours from a delayed flight to welcome us (even though there was a key safe) All the basics to start us off were in the fridge, cupboards and a freshly baked cake. Throughout our stay they checked in and offered lots of helpful advice and suggestions for things to do. Shops, restaurants, beach etc in pretty Elounda about 15-20 minutes walk. A couple of restaurants closer.

Negative: If you are not hiring a car be aware it's all uphill walking back from Elounda. Taxis are plentiful from the square however. If arriving at night especially make sure you understand how to get there as even with the directions and advice not to use GPS, our taxi from the airport could not find the property.

Positive: We have just had an amazing couple of weeks in a glorious spot with amazing views, absolutely the perfect place to relax. Nektarios and his lovely wife Zaxaroula were wonderful. They are so caring and go the extra mile to ensure you have a great stay. They are on hand if you need any help but very rerespectful of your privacy. We couldnt fault anything and we've never before seen such attention to detail especially with the kitchen supplies, olive oil, greek herbs a full array of condiments really and and a helpful selection in the fridge too. It gave us the chance to unwind for 24 hours before venturing out. It's 20 mins walk into Elounda for a great selection of shops and tavernas but you will find Beeraki, a cretan pub and the Hope Restaurant just 9 mins away both great. Bring a small torch for walking along the lane at night. We felt so lucky to have such a beautiful place to stay and all credit to Nektarios who designed and built the apartment and his family home behind. The apple cake Zaxaroula made us was delicious and the best I've ever eaten 😋! and thanks to daughter Maria too who helped us get our Amazon Prime account working on the TV, it's a real family affair ☺️ I could go on but I'll just say try it for yourself you won't be disappointed. So sad to leave but will definately be back, it felt like home :)

Negative: Can't think of anything and it's not a criticisn but a suggestion of a small lamp for the lounge area to use at night rather than the main light.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the owner who ensured our check-in was seamless and welcoming even though we arrived rather late. The house itself is nestled in a picturesque location overlooking the stunning Elounda Bay, offering breathtaking views right from our accommodation . The accommodation is clean and beautiful, providing a comfortable retreat . The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the exceptional house and view and the owners were so friendly, helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool, which was meticulously maintained and offered a tranquil atmosphere with gorgeous views of the sea. Overall, our experience at Elounda Sunshine Place exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of stunning location, impeccable and comfortable accommodation made for a truly memorable holiday. We cannot wait to return and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect getaway in Crete.

Positive: The property, location and hosts were excellent. We could not have been happier with our 5 day stay. The patio and pool area give an amazing view over Elounda, providing a tranquil place to relax whilst the town is only a 10/15 minute walk away which has great bars and restaurants. The private pool and terrace were a personal highlight of ours. Our hosts provided a very warm welcome, despite our late arrival, and continued to ensure we had everything we needed throughout the stay even providing fruit & vegetables from their garden and cake. The apartment itself was fantastically well equipped and provided a very comfortable stay.
