Positive: Elo and his wife are very friendly and I had the feeling to be welcomed into their family for a day. They dried my wet shoes and she speaks good English which is very helpful. Elo picked me up in Khalde and drove me to their home in the valley.

Negative: When Elo offered/told me he would pick me up I was initially thankful as I was under the impression (from previous comments) that it was way off the trek. Until then I was enjoying my hike in the sun and only afterwards did I realize how much of the trek I had missed. I assumed that he would drive me to Iprarl the next day but he drove me 3km further which I only noticed while already on my way. I missed 6km of the trek. I myself learned from this to articulate more clearly what I want next time. My recommendation to them is to confirm with guests whether they want to hike all the way. Hiking until and from Iprari would have worked just fine for everyone.

Positive: I was there out of season and got picked up on the last couple meter to the guest house, got invited to warm up in their living room and played some uno with the kids. The family even offer to drive me to Ushguli and Mestia

Positive: Best place I stayed on the Mestia-Ushguli hike. Very friendly family and cozy accommodation. Dinner was delicious. Comfortable beds and a really nice hot shower. They also picked us up from the hiking path and dropped us off the next morning for no extra cost. Thank you for the great stay!

Positive: The rooms where the nicest in the whole trek, it was the last day and we REALLY needed a hot shower after two days with no hot water and cold rooms, after a long long day. The rooms were clean and warm, new everything, amazing amazing food. Even a cake! Because me and the rest of the guests celebrated the little girl’s birthday (daughter of the owner. The kids were so polite and nice, amazing family place). She even took us from the trail with a private marshrutka straight to the guest house for free, her suggestion! Absolutely loved my comfortable familial experience:) she even gave us pancakes for the next day, no charge. And had beers. I mean, this is perfect!!

Positive: Elo and her family were really amazing hosts! The food, the company and the cultural interest were just fabulous, we really enjoyed our stay in their guesthouse and would definitely visit them again if we ever go back to Svaneti.

Positive: We loved Elos! We had a really special stay at Elos. Probably the comfiest bed we had on the Mestia- Ushguli walk with warm rooms. We felt so welcomed by the family, meeting all the kids and sharing food by the fire, they could not have made us feel any more at home. The dinner and breakfast were delicious! A great mix of food which was all tasty. Elos also picked us up in Khalde (unexpected but very welcome) and helped us with transport from Ushguli to Mestia and answered all of our questions! Would definitely recommend

Positive: Probably the best guesthouse we have been in the whole 4days of trekking through the mountains. The host is very welcoming and they take you back and forth from the trail, cause the guesthouse is a bit far out the town. Rooms are warm and spacious, bathrooms are in best conditions and food is delicious. Highly recommended!
