Positive: This is an exceptional bed and breakfast. If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet place to stay with beautiful scenery and lots of sheep and cows to look at then this is it. Shirley and Nigel were so welcoming and the room had everything one would need for a great stay. Breakfast was fantastic and just about everything you could want was there. Some great restaurants and places to visit were within a reasonable driving distance. If I am ever back in the Dales again I will definitely be staying here.

Negative: I cannot think of a single thing, other than I had to leave.

Summary: Relaxing, peaceful and just what I needed.

Positive: The hosts were very friendly and did all they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The room was beautifully decorated with lovely views from the window over the fields. The breakfast was delicious with local produce and all you could eat. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Ellerton Lodge and would like to return before long.

Negative: The shower was a bit difficult to manage , which was explained to us so did not cause to much of a problem.

Positive: We were impressed by all aspects of our stay… from the warm welcome, the cake and drink and the facilities to the scenery and the helpful hosts and the attention to detail in all areas. We are experienced travellers and this is definitely one of the best b and b we have stayed in.

Positive: The accommodation was spacious and spotlessly clean with an amazing view. The breakfasts were everything you could wish for with plenty of choice. Shirley and Nigel couldn't have been more helpful without being intrusive.

Positive: From the initial greeting to our departure Shirley and Nigel were fantastic hosts. They were attentive and thoughtful but never in your face. Breakfast was excellent with an impressive range of choices. The accommodation was clean and spacious. Arranging for us to have a meal at a local pub after our long journey was much appreciated. They were also generous in sharing their lovely garden. Indeed this was probably the best B&B we have stayed in for years, if not ever
