Positive: It was very quiet, and surrounded by olive trees. It has a beautiful fruit garden, and we were free to pick anything we liked. Very clean and spacious. The host was very nice. You need a car to reach the property.

Negative: The bedroom was on the upper floor, and the stair was a bit hard to manage for our creaky knees. Also, the view from the bedroom was a bit industrial. Not so from the ground floor, from where you could only see the garden.

Summary: A nice, quiet stop for a few days.

Positive: The house is a real oasis of peace that has all the conditions to spend a dream vacation in Chania. Sergios, the owner, welcomed us warmly even though we had a flight delay, he was very helpful throughout our stay and made us feel like home. Both the terraces and the courtyard are sensational and John Boy is very funny. We will definitely stay here when we return to Crete.

Positive: Eliva Garden house is modern and freshly renovated. It has all facilities you might need during your vacation in Chania. Excellent parking place with closed gates. Inside it was plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 kids. In addition, it has 2 terraces and 1 balcony outside where you could spend evenings. In the garden owners grow oranges, pomegranates, bananas, lemons, so it was good educational experience for Northern European kids. Lastly, the host and John Boy are super friendly and do their best to help you enjoy your stay.

Negative: You must have a rental car if you want to stay here.

Summary: Excellent garden house 15-20 min away from Chania downtown.

Positive: Amazing modern villa with a large private garden is located close to Chania. It’s ideal stay if you like privacy and quietness as there are no neighbors close by. The villa is surrounded by well kept garden full of olive, orange and mandarin trees. There’s also a kitchen garden and kind hosts allow guests to pick up fresh fruits or vegetables as those grow. Lots of fragrant herbs make it even more enjoyable. The house is fully equipped, it has everything you need. There are very comfortable beds, modern furniture and bathrooms, plenty of kitchenware and air conditioners on every floor. Overall, It’s very cosy and comfortable stay. Hosts are very welcoming and helpful. While having enough privacy you feel very welcomed and cared for just as you are visiting your relatives.

Negative: The Internet connection was not always stable.
