Positive: Stunning Villa, clean, modern, amazing views, close to shops / harbour / restaurants (although up a significant hill). Anastasia very helpful and responsive. Cleaning ladies also very friendly and came every day which was lovely.

Negative: WiFi was a bit slow, but not a problem - just a bit of buffering if watching a film and downloads slow.

Summary: Wonderful place to relax and explore Skopelos, definitely need a car. Book and you won’t regret it.

Positive: The house generally is 1st Class, a new build (3yrs old) with good layout and comfortable all round, good aircon's (although the main living room one did not not work - but there was a smaller one which did and this was sufficient for the area), nice pool (see further comments below), super views down the valley onto the sea. Nice and quite location and close to some super beaches on the island - walking distance (down the hill, coming back up could be difficult for some) A car is recommended, which can be arrange via Tania or a local carhire down the road - there are a few options. Local restaurants nice and a short drive either to Glossa or Panormos are many more good options. There are local supermarkets, but for a substantial shop you would need to drive to Skopelos town (20 min) where there are few large supermarkets.

Negative: Generally we were very happy with everything, and Tania is a fantastic host, managing this house and a further 3 smaller units (Zen Villas) situated above the house. However - these issues did impact our holiday. 1. Internet in our unit was shocking - line speed of 2 - 4 mbps?? after pointing this out to Tania and after complaining several times and due to it being weekend only after a few days did a technician come and we were told that there was an issue further down the line and this could only be fixed in about 5 days time, well by the time we left 10 days later it still had not been fixed. Tania did find a solution for us in that we could sit in the basement laundry of one of the houses above where the internet was super fast. On this point the house was advertised with good fast internet and it wasn't - I feel that the host should check this per season or pre check in as it is vital in this day and age for the many of us who have to work while on holiday. 2. Water - via an intricate system of supply from mains, into tanks and then pumped to the various houses. One evening arriving back from dinner we had no water, I sent Tania a message on this and she tried with me to sort it out but we only got this sorted the next morning - it was the pump that pumps the water that had tripped, but this one pump has to fill several tanks around the property before we had water in the house! 3. Yellow Bees - This property like many in Skopelos and elsewhere in Greece is plagued by them, they do not sting only bite if agravated but are unpleasant if you are not able to ignore them. In previous properties I have stayed at they have done things to keep them away, so maybe this property should look into this. Prior to staying here I stayed at a hotel for 10 days just 15 min away and they had solved the bee problem, whereas a few years back that hotel had the same problem. So this tells me it can be solved in some way or another.

Positive: Tucked away up a little hill with cicada song all day and a lovely little view, the location is idyllic. The house is simply appointed with emphasis on functionality. The spaces and layout are perfect and the outdoor area, sublime.
