Summary: I had hoped for a comfortable rest after spending a week in the bush with tribes. I did not get that. The wifi barely worked and only in the office. Not in the lounge or in the room. I got bad food poisoning after only one meal and the staff wanted to convince me it was the flu. I am pretty sure other people got sick too. The rooms are shipping containers and if it is hot outside, they act like ovens. It is like an elevated tent camp, although my wifi and amenities worked better in a real bush camp. Most of the staff was very help and tried their best to make me comfortable while sick with what they could. It's not a terrible place, just don't expect a luxurious comfortable experience.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Elephant Lodge. The staff were friendly and very attentive, the pool was clean, the food was excellen and the rooms were superb. The most amazing thing was the wildlife we could see and hear from the pool, restaurant and our own rooftop terrace. We skipped a trip to the park because the surroundings were so spectacular. Would like to come back very soon!

Summary: Elephants, Zebra, elk, giraffe all within site from the rooms. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the food is delicious. Certainly worth the stay.

Summary: This was an accidental addition to our itinerary and I am so thankful for the mistake that led us here! Every piece of the stay was fabulous from the repurposed shipping containers (rooms) to the BBQ made from pieces of metal trash. The food was divine-breakfast, lunch boxes AND dinner. The staff was kind and informative. There is a pool and an evening campfire and even a small souvenir shop with unique items to commemorate your stay.

Summary: Our stay at Elephant Lodge was extraordinary. The service was wonderful and very attentive. We stayed one night and we wish we had stayed longer. We were the only couple at the lodge and they made it a very special visit. First the elephant arrived at the drinking pool only about 30 feet away and was drinking and splashing himself. Then when we went to have dinner it was wonderful. Our table for two was beautifully set up in advance along with lights everywhere. The chef from Portugal came out and described in detail the upcoming five course dinner. There were three chefs in the kitchen cooking our dinner, two wait staff attending to our needs, and the resort manager pouring our wine. When we finished dinner, they had a bonfire going for us. One of the staff brought our a guitar and started singing. Before long three of the staff were all singing and dancing. overall, a very extraordinary evening I would highly recommend to anyone.
