Surrounded by oak and chestnut woods, it is therefore ready to offer you absolute peace and privacy while being just a few kilometers from the city famous for the Terme dei Papi, Viterbo and from the most interesting cultural centers of Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany. A well-kept park around the villa is made up of large lawn areas enlivened by flower bushes.
Once through the entrance portal, you will find yourself immersed in a large splendid terrace - patio, framed by bushes of fragrant plants and flowers with iridescent colors that make the environment magical and evocative.
Spa-like atmospheres for this property at 650m above sea level with a prodigious view of the lake 400m above sea level, in the middle of the Monti Cimini hills, 850m above sea level. Summary: Having stayed here for 4 nights in June I have to say I couldnt recommend the Villa La Paiola (and specifically Villa Glicine) more. The owner Alena and her family and staff were very helpful. And huge effort was taken to make us feel welcome, and make sure we had all we needed. From food in the fridge, to maps, and bus timetables. The Villas although 'basic' were fantastically clean, and very comfortable. The setting is the really special part though. The views are jaw dropping from all parts of the villa and its grounds, and the quiet and off the beaten track area suited us right down to the ground. All i would say you need to consider before booking is how happy you are driving on Italian roads, as it is in the mountains, and can get a bit hairy - but thats the only sligtly negative comment i can think of. Good value for money, and a great little spot for seeing Rome, AND its surrounding areas.
