Summary: Staff were very friendly. Hotel becoming very dated and in need of urgent repair, especially in the casual dining area, where rain ingress caused flooding. It rained on a daily basis and staff worked hard to keep the area serviceable.

Summary: This was our fourth time to stay at El Cozumeleno, we had experienced things in the past but dealt with it. This trip was by far the worst, four out of the five days we had to deal with no hot water most of the days, when it did come back on it had a lot of debris. The shower head was complete mess, the facility could at least spend a little money to change the shower heads as ours was spraying more water on the walls than on our bodies. The air conditioners are another sore subject as well. We have dealt with them on every trip... The food is subpar these days and at lunch you are no longer allowed to serve yourself at the buffet which is a pain. The constant issue of dealing with the birds in the dining area in the palapa as well as the area by the bar is just ridiculous... The facility needs to get the birds under control, from stealing food from people's plates, hands or the constant fear of the birds pooping on you as they fly over you. Tiles in the pool need to be repaired or replaced. We witnessed a little girl get her foot cut open from the missing tiles in which the staff helped address her injury but nothing was done to prevent it from happening to someone else. As bad as I hate to say it I have made the decision to look at other all inclusive resorts to take my family going forward as this trip was an eye opener for me. We love the beach and view at El Cozumeleno but all the other issues have made it not enjoyable anymore.

Summary: There is no refrigerator, no coffee pot, the AC is limited to a warm 74 degrees, no room service menu. The beach is awesome, food is good but limited choice. Rooms are very dated. Staff is great!!!

Summary: Access to beach for snorkling was easy and amazing. Staff around pool and dining area were awesome. Hotel is very old and somewhat run down. Swim up bar was permanently closed. Air conditioner was lacking in room (did not get very cool). Food was so-so. Front desk was friendly but very slow

Summary: The hole week the pool was green and couldn't swim. They served the same food all week only three main dishes on menu. No entertainment at all during the day or night. and the swim up bar was never opened. The staff was very nice and polite.

Summary: The staff is wonderful, but we didn’t have hot water to shower, no lunch or dinner buffet. No bingo, no swim up bar, no kid buffet. It was a slow week but we were expecting what was advertised. But I would stay there again and we have stayed several times . The snorkeling is great there. And the staff remembers you. I love the place.
