Positive: The place is well maintained and clean, located only 6 minutes by walk from the JR station. There is a community dining & kitchen area with cooking utensils and plates as well as microwave, fridge, cooking stove that guests are allowed to use. The owner of the property, Michiko san is very friendly, kind and hospitable.
Negative: Female bedroom is located immediately next to the dining & kitchen area. There were a couple of guests stayed there until past midnight (1am) and kept chattering. Their voice could be heard quite clearly, which was not nice as it disturbed sleeping.
Summary: Very cozy and convenient.

Positive: Lovely little guesthouse with the sweetest owner. Full kitchen setup, bathroom had an actual bath, 6 minute walk to the train station then 12 minutes to Nagoya central.
Negative: Bed was very firm, no storage lockers but I didn’t feel like I needed any

Positive: The woman running this place is the sweetest. She speaks a little English and was even kind enough to try pick me up from the train station when I arrived on a rainy day. I do caution though, she is not always home so there are only certain hours you cannot drop your bag off if you're arriving before check in. As others have mentioned too, you're not supposed to spend the day here.
Negative: It's not so central Nagoya but this is reflected in the price. The women's dorm is right next to the communal space so you will hear the ongoings of next door.

Positive: Though the location is not in Nagoya city center but it's close to Inazawa station, makes me easy to go to the city within 20 mins. One station away is Kiyosu station where a castle is located. If you have time, you can also buy a package ticket to the nearby Asahi site as well. Another castle in Gifu is very nice as well, only 3 stations away. Hosts are nice and the place is very clean and tidy. Very quiet neighborhood is nice. The living room and kitchen are really convenient, as table ware, microwave and refrigerator and cooking stove can be used.
Negative: The hostel expects guests to be not stay between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. So if you want to get some work done or study during a longer stay, it is something you have to consider. During my stay, since there were only a few guests, they allowed me to use the living room during day time which I really appreciated. And you don't have the key to the house, so the door can be looked within those hours or after 11 p.m. But you can always discuss with the host. (I did come back to the guest house around 1 a.m. at the New Year and the door is unlocked.)
