Positive: We had a lovely stay at Eco Casa Gaviota. The double bed was very comfortable, with a great mattress and blackout blinds that made for restful sleep. The house had plenty of thoughtful touches, like carbon-filtered drinking water, a well-stocked kitchen and bathroom with all the essentials, and even a welcome treat of red wine, bottled water, and eggs in the fridge. The terrace was a great place to relax, decorated with charming local art, and the area was wonderfully quiet—just a short walk from Playa La Garita. We also appreciated the convenience of free street parking and even spotted a papaya growing right outside the window!

Negative: The only downsides: the single bed mattresses were on the softer side, which might not suit everyone. The older-style smart TV, which would benefit from a Chromecast or smart stick, and the retro radio—it was a nice touch to hear the local news on the hour, but unfortunately, the Bluetooth function didn’t work with newer phones. Otherwise, the experience was fantastic, and we’d definitely consider staying again.

Positive: The property was well laid out, modern and spacious with a great balcony where we ate our meals and watched the clouds come over the mountains in the distance. Location wise was pretty cool as the La Garita Beach, with a lifeguard, was literally one street away. The town itself has a nice supermarket and a stunningly nice café that had fresh pastries every morning. Our host had awesome communications, with lots of help and suggestions on places to visit and what restaurants to visit. :)

Negative: Well...having to leave to come home!

Positive: It was spacious and well laid out with a large patio and facilities to eat outdoors. It is over the road from the lovely beach and 5 minutes walk from the shops. It is in a fabulous location and all the neighbours and owner were so easy and pleasant to interact with.
