Positive: Good location opposite the promenade and close to Berwick town centre too. Helpful host and parking right outside

Negative: Shared kitchen is a good idea but bit chaotic at times with all guests trying to cook or make tea at same time. Nevertheless there's a good selection of things available for breakfast

Positive: We liked that the host after showing us around left us 2 get on with the rest of our stay after showing us around.we like that we could use the facilities eg . swimming pool ,hot tub when we liked..

Negative: The only thing was that we wished we had a kettle in our room ,as we had 2 go 2 the shared kitchen 2 make a cuppa in our night wear.

Positive: Really nice and friendly hosts, we arrived early but was no problem letting us in. Rooms were clean, very comfortable and well furnished. The hot tub was great (didn't swim in the pool, but looked good) Loved the breakfast room. Right on the beach.

Negative: Place was busy - so we had a room with a separate shower room - but it was fine. Eastwatch is a long way from the main town of Berwick for the pubs and restaurants - had to drive in

Positive: Absolutely wonderful place to stay and we’ll definitely return. Our room was perfect and the hosts have a kitchen/dining area for their guests. They provide bread, eggs, milk, cereal daily which was an added bonus and very much appreciated.

Negative: I can’t think of anything that needs to be done to improve it.

Summary: Wonderful memories made.

Positive: My wife and I have just returned from a very enjoyable 2 night stay in Spittal, which adjoins Berwick Upon Tweed. If you’re after sea views and flat promenade walks this is an ideal location. The brisk walk into the centre of Berwick is also mostly flat and took around 25 minutes. Car parking is on the street outside. The owner, Paul was very welcoming and explained that he had left some basic supplies – bread, milk, coffee, breakfast juice – in the communal kitchen for us to use. Turned out we were the only guests there on our first night so we timed that well! We were in the “Bear” room on the ground floor overlooking the small garden. The room was very spacious as was the en suite, perhaps the biggest we have ever had! The room was advertised as having an ‘extra large double bed’ although it didn’t look quite as wide as we had anticipated. It was comfortable though. There was also a large sofa which presumably also converts into an additional bed. The room clearly gets a lot of traffic and being right on the sea front it’s inevitable that the carpet would show a fair bit of wear and tear. Hard flooring might be easier to keep clean? Finally, there are the leisure facilities – a modest pool, a small (4 05 5 people?) sauna and a wonderful outside hot tub / jacuzzi. We made full use of all 3.

Positive: Great location right next to the beach and easy drive to lots of places nearby via the A1, such as Alnwick, Holy Island and many more. Room was lovely, with a very comfy bed and lots of space. Very modern feel to the room and en suite which was lovely and spacious too. The hosts were lovely-& very helpful. The shared kitchen was large, and had a big fridge freezer and great selection of pots and pans, toaster, oven, utensils etc Some basic things provided like tea, coffee, bread, cereal etc so that was nice too. The pool was a nice touch that we used on the last day along with the sauna and jacuzzi. All in all, had a great stay.

Negative: Nothing - I thought the property was great.

Summary: Great location, room, facilities and hosts - would recommend.
