Positive: The breakfast was cooked very well. A lovely selection of items and presented lovely. Our host was super friendly and we loved the cosiness of both the breakfast area and the bedrooms. Also, the decor was so beautiful and in keeping with the age of the property.

Negative: There was nothing we did not like.

Summary: Charming location and property and we felt very cosy and intimate. Well done.

Positive: Absolutely perfect. Walked here from Dufton on the Pennine Way. Dinner was ready for us in the fridge. The fire was on with an ample supply of wood. Slep like a log in a very comfortable room. Breakfast next morning was exactly what we needed to continue along the Pennine Way. Definitely recommend Eastview B&B.

Positive: A good variety of breakfast items on the menu. The food was well-prepared, and plentiful. The room suited my needs and the bed was comfortable. My room had a private bathroom just down the hall which was quite large and well-appointed.

Negative: There are some water issues in the area and the pressure was down. Having said that, water was warm and sufficient for a shower and/or whatever else you needed. Unfortunately, there are no restaurants/pub in Garigill the closest venues were in Alston (7 miles). Lana does provide at a reasonable cost packed lunches and evening meals for those without/with a vehicle.

Summary: Eastview met my needs for a centrally located base in the North Pennines.

Positive: Lana and Phil are great hosts. They attend to your every need and are very friendly. It's the third time we've stopped over on a C2C and the pub in Garrigill is closed, so they provide a lovely dinner as well as an excellent breakfast. Garage storage for the bikes too!
