Summary: Spent 4 nights here and it was exactly what we needed to get away from the hectic home life. Lovely views, cottage a bit different layout to what you'd expect but very nice all the same, also over looking the valley with the river Nent running through it. Not many shops close by (1), but Alston is only a few miles away and you can get pretty much anything you need from there. On arrival there was some milk, fruit loaf and jam left for us with the Log burner ready to go (Extra wood / coals too) Also recommend the Cumberland Inn, stopped there for a quick drink after a long walk, nice atmosphere and views to the rear.

Summary: I have been looking at this cottage over the last couple of years. And finally decided to book it and go. I'm so glad we did. It's a lovely quirky cottage in a beautiful spot the views are amazing. Loved watching the rabbits on the telescope. Lovey scones jam milk prosecco and flowers on arrival. Everything you need for a lovely stay. We made use of the sauna and the lovely sized bath. There are some lovely walks and lovely drives out. We can't wait to go back
