Positive: Happy, helpful host. Lovely spacious room, patio, shared lounge, big kitchen everything you need. Good self-serve breakfast. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

Positive: We arrived off a late (1:30 am) ferry and the owner had left instructions for each of us on how to get in. He had also showed up in person to help us get settled in. The owner said that although checkout was at 11, we could stay later if we liked. The bed was comfortable and clean.

Negative: The breakfast part was a bit minimal ( there wasnt much other than bread and eggs and yoghurt in the fridge and a couple of pieces of fruit). The bathroom was a bit tired and not 100% clean. The blind in my bedroom was broken and held together with paperclips. There was no glass for water in the bedroom. The location was a bit out of the way and is not near downtown, however we didn't need to visit there so it wasn't a problem.

Positive: The bed was comfortable; the room quiet. The ferry was late and it was no problem checking in at 9/930 pm.

Negative: The kitchen where you made breakfast was dark and rather dingy. The ceiling above the island - where a light/lights should have been - was torn up and covered with construction-type paper. There was a dirty frying pan on the stove and dirty dishes in the sink. The handle on the fridge was falling off. Breakfast supplies in fridge were minimal; eg 2 slices of whole wheat bread left in bag; 1/2 loaf of white Wonder Bread available. There were eggs and we cooked 2 after cleaning frying pan. Blinds in bedroom were broken. The whole place seemed in need of various upkeep-type repairs.

Negative: It was annoying that the guest using the kitchen before us didn’t clean up after himself!
