Positive: Great location and we had a warm welcome. Staff were helpful in sorting out taxis for us for our onward journey and a packed breakfast due to our early start. We stayed in the family room which was a good size.

Negative: The room was poorly ventilated and smelt very unpleasant. The bathroom was adequate, but not as good as many homestays we stayed at in Sri Lanka and had nowhere to put a wash bag. It is an interesting old building, with light coming through some non-opening windows under the eaves, but there is no way to block out the light at night so not great if you prefer to sleep in a dark room

Positive: Beautiful and quaint property. Really, really nice people hosting. The location is top-notch. A few minutes walk away from everything in the fort. The breakfast is amazing with a lot of variety.

Negative: The family room is meant for 2 adults and 2 kids. Not for 4 adults like we were. Although we didn't have many problems with it when we stayed, this was a problem on booking.com's side that should have been taken care of.
