Positive: The location was amazing with the most beautiful beaches within walking distance. The family room was basic,the whole place was but it was magic,and added to the character and the enjoyment of taking it for what it was and making our 1st experience of a youth hostel a very enjoyable one. We loved the shared kitchen and making meals around others doing the same,a nice comfortable atmosphere and as a dad of a teenager and 7 year old girls,they really enjoyed the experience

Negative: The midges haha.but only outside and it was a dead hot calm day and evening so to be expected

Summary: Enjoyable 1st experience of a youth hostel for me and my 2 girls

Positive: the picturesque hike all down to Faraid head on a beautiful blue day is priceless.. price..less..ish...kinda. It is getting a bit too pricey around there in the UK and I cannot afford three digits for an overpriced BnB, and with three digits I mean the first number even beginning with a 2 or 3!!!! per night or a prison cell shared by four at the Aviemore SYHA branch for three tenners per night. It is too bad the UK is punishing us respectable mainland Europeans who love the UK. With the new ETA that we will have to pay for, it is maybe fair to give other countries a chance next time

Negative: I do not feel the need to complain, but the place isn't suitable for large amounts of guests, it already feels crowded and full at fifty percent capacity.

Summary: only place where you can stay at in the tip of the NC500 so you got me there, you always win

Positive: The man at the reception was kind and professional, the kitchen was well organised and clean and the common room was quite comfortable, the sofas were nice and theres were plenty of plugs to charge devices. The rooms was clean and aired and the beds and linens were comfortable. There's a lock to leave your stuff but there's plenty of space.

Negative: My partner couldn't lock the door in the men's washroom so that was a bit uncomfortable. I feel there should maybe be another set of showers but maybe they already know they don't need them? There's only WiFi in the common room, which I think might be a plus for conversation but if the sofas are packed with people charging, you won't be able to sit comfortably. Maybe a future improvement could be having charging spots and individual lights on the beds.
