Positive: The Old Manse Cottage is way beyond luxurious, it has everything you need. Lovely comfortable beds and special touches like a beautiful fruit bowl, milk in the fridge , comfort packages in bathrooms. Sarah and Mike are perfect hosts , checking we had everything we needed and were comfortable. Sarah and Mike were attentive but not intrusive and we had a wonderfully relaxing week. A very special place. We fell in love with Durness, walking , swimming, visiting the Smoo Cave and doing the zip wire. Cape Wrath tour was excellent. The beaches are very beautiful and I especially loved swimming in the beautifully clear waters. Our nearly 16 year old had great fun on the SUP, investigating the wee caves and paddling from one beach to another and climbing the rocks. The toasty van is great, the Spar shop and the other wee independent shop are both well stocked and the sango sands oasis is lovely for a nice drink and take away food. I wish I was still there.

Negative: There is nothing I didn't like.

Summary: A wonderfully relaxing week at the Old Manse Cottage. We have fallen in love with Durness.

Positive: The location was superb, just a short walk to the beach. The owners were extremely helpful and went above and beyond. The cottage itself is 5* - every comfort you could wish for! We had a fabulous time exploring the area and all the beautiful beaches.
