Positive: Very nice, well equipped and spacious room. The breakfast in the garden was pleasant, with simple but delicious dishes. There was a very sophisticated souvenir shop cum cafe in the hotel, and an art gallery, both of which we enjoyed spending time in. It was really conveniently located, close to the night market, so we walked around at night, which was cool enough for enjoying the market on the street.

Negative: The staff at the reception spoke limited English but it was the case for almost everywhere in the city, so I wouldn’t blame them. We could communicate with the help of translator apps so no problem. There was a simple location map for most tourist destinations displayed on the wall and the rest was up to the baidu map on my mobile, which was manageable.

Summary: Very nice and we fully enjoyed it!

Positive: excellent location and good breakfast. Beautiful lobby with art gallery and a large gift shop. The room is clean too.

Negative: The room is basic without a fridge, and the wifi is hard to set up. It is better to have a basic Dunhuang city map and simple tourist info. When asked for a map, i was told by the staff to look at a TV screen in the lobby.
