Positive: Gorgeous little cottage for two in a great location albeit very rural! Facilities in the house were excellent, included a dishwasher, kettle, wifi etc. and the hosts left us a lovely welcome basket with Prosecco, biscuits, milk and bread in, which we were not expecting and were touched by the thought. It was also very prettily decorated for Christmas with a little tree. We were on a flying visit with family so didn't have time to use the pool but we'd definitely stay here again, it was lovely.

Negative: Nothing, it was absolutely perfect for what we needed for a two night break.

Summary: Little Derbyshire gem - perfect for a couple looking for rural peace and beauty.

Positive: Beautiful location. The pool was amazing! Great pub with gluten free options just a couple of miles down the road, we walked along the public footpaths over the fields to get there, stunning scenery. Kitchen was well kitted out with utensils for cooking. Perfect place to get away from it all for a few days. We will definitely be back.

Positive: It was Perfect and quiet and everything we were looking for - I wasn't even aware that anybody else was staying on the land until our last day.

Negative: There was nothing I didn't like. If I could change anything it would be to have the option to check out later like 12pm but I do understand that with others checking in they need ample time to clean etc.

Positive: Vicki and Tim are very accommodating hosts, they had left us a welcome goodie basket ,which was a nice touch . Also ,we had a few questions that they were very quick to answer and resolve. I can only imagine the effort to maintain the private swimming pool(this can be booked for 90 minutes at a stretch and twice a day , its shared between 4 different cottages ,booking is on a board outside the pool area) Kudos to the team for keeping everything very comfortable . I would surely recommend this place , its very comfy and equipped with modern amenities , has a serene backyard with beautiful views and a very friendly horse that comes to meet you early in the morning.
