Positive: The location is excellent, with wonderful ocean view, very quiet, great for relaxation. The house has all you need to live a life, including the sockets, feels like a home way from home.

Negative: nothing. if I want to be picky, it is hard to close the bathroom window, but that is probably just us.

Positive: Driftwood Cottage is a beautiful and quaint place to stay just outside Staffin. It’s close to Quaraing and not a particularly long drive to Old Man of Storr, Portree, Fairy Glen and other sights. The property is cozy and was spotlessly clean. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was very well equipped. Clear instructions regarding operation of heating etc and recycling. Will definitely stay in this property again the next time we visit Skye.

Negative: Can’t really add much to this - we had an excellent stay.

Positive: We were looking for a few days of Scotland feeling in solitude and got what we were looking for here. The cottage is secluded and with a beautiful view on a bay in the north-east of the Isle of Skye. It is surrounded by pastures with sheep. Kilt Rock is almost on the doorstep and the location is perfect for visits to Old Man of Stor, Quiraing, Fairy Glen. The cottage itself seems a bit old despite the renovation, but it has everything you need for a few days in a household. At first glance the price/performance ratio seems unfavorable, but then there are: location, location and location.

Negative: The bright white LED ceiling lights in the living room/kitchen are a mood killer. We didn't use it and moved the standing lamp from the living room in there.
