Positive: This place was fabulous we had the absolute best weekend. It was so well kitted out - it didnt really feel like being in a holiday home at all - more like a friends home, it had just everything you could need. it was way more spacious inside than it looked in the pictures and the garden backing on to the beach was just an absolute dream we were also really grateful to the hosts who were super responsive and were generous enough to give us a late checkout on the sunday making the day much nicer. we are already planning to book again for next year

Positive: It’s always hard to leave after a stay at magical Driftwood. Amazingly it’s RIGHT ON THE BEACH. The decor has a thorough and delightful seaside theme, with railway memorabilia (the bedrooms are converted railway carriages). There’s plenty of living space and an abundance of good sized and fluffy towels - with different style beds to choose from. The kitchen is very well equipped with French doors onto the garden with the sight and sound of the sea! The lounging area logically views the sea also - with a telly (should you get tired of looking at the sea) and a cupboard full of games. There’s also a selection of books and a pair of binoculars (for the super curious). Plenty of candles (to be used judiciously), a fabulous bespoke dining table to set the mood or table and chairs on the (covered) deck for al fresco dining, complete with fairy lights after 11pm. The garden is made of beach with a solid wall bordering it from the actual beach (so, safe for children and dogs). There’s a fish n chip shop down the short lane, with a proper seaside shop/cafe selling icecreams to flip flops- et al - or for more serious supplies, a 100 yards on, there’s a Co-op ! The sea water is clear and inviting for a swim - and only 100 yards from Driftwood for drying off. Pagham itself is charming, obviously with shops - and at least three decent looking pubs to try out - or a short drive if you fancy Chichester, Bognor Regis or Portsmouth for a day out. Driftwood is THE place for relaxing though - cos ITS ALL ABOUT THE BEACH ❤️

Positive: We love the location and the virtually empty beach, which I sat on every morning at sunrise with a coffee from the fabulous coffee machine, and the Sonos speakers to play music throughout the space was an extra special touch. The large dining table worked really well for us and the sofa was perfectly positioned to look at the beach view on a cooler day when we wanted stay in doors. Of course the main novelty was the railway carriages which I loved sleeping in as they made you feel cocooned. The Coop across the road was so useful and the ice cream shop and Small Fry fish and chips made it so easy, we didn't get in the car while we were there. All in all a fab space to stay and I will be booking again!

Positive: Driftwood Does what it says on the tin Absolutely perfect, idyllic, right on the beach, the sea 100 yards away over a pebble Beach On arrival, fabulous huge sun drenched decking, steps up to French French doors, beautifully kept and very welcoming Bedrooms In converted railway carriages, plenty of lighting and storage in each. Quirky shower cubicle of the kitchen with a porthole so that you can still see the sea (if you want !!) Additional bathroom with bathroom and toilet, and a further separate loo. Beautifully and thoughtfully accessorised throughout Feeling of Luxury everywhere with nice little touches Access to the beach beyond a low secure whitewashed wall gated in the centre, very safe for children and dogs. Every seating thought of… Beanbags, deck chairs, table and chairs on the Veranda Chimenea and barbecue equipment AND kayaking equipment in the huge garage at the front of the property where there is also a washing machine and tumble dryer. The kitchen has everything ! Some lovely colourful serving dishes in a cupboard, plenty of crockery and cutlery and glassware. With a luxury coffee maker - you still get a view of the sea through the French doors. There are plenty of games and books, candles and tourist information So much space tastefully filled with exquisite touches Exactly as it looks in the photographs, Luxury beach house amazing - return visit already planned and booked
