The 250 year old and completely newly renovated house in the Moorish style is cool in summer and offers a cozy retreat in the winter months. The entrance opens into the open living area from the kitchen, dining room and living room and is equipped with a modern Swedish stove that heats the entire floor.
The house has a fully equipped kitchen, complete with an electric hob, ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher, kitchen utensils and refrigerator.
There is a small overgrown garden with seating in the entrance area and a small secluded courtyard that always stays cool and shady in summer. The dining room has a large dining table. In the living room there is a large sofa bed with comfortable wing chairs and music system.
On the first floor there is a walk-through room with a small library, large flat screen and a comfortable sofa bed. The bedroom with a 160cm double bed and French balcony to the courtyard is always quiet, flooded with light and pleasantly cool in summer. There is a large dressing room and a large bathroom with shower, 2 sinks and toilet.
On the second floor there is a small storage space with an additional fridge and a washing machine.
Then it's off to the large roof terrace. With a cozy outside bed, small grill, additional sink, large dining table and an approx. 6m2 covered space for protection from the sun or rain. The wonderful view of the village, the mountains and a piece of sea with beautiful sunsets.
The house is quiet and centrally located. 5 min. to the beautiful plaza. Around the corner bakery, fruit shop, supermarket, swimming pool, church, museum, restaurants and bars. The bus and tourist information is also in 3 min. reachable. The nature park and hiking trails also start around the corner.
You can rent mountain bikes, go hiking, book adventure tours, take Spanish courses, motocross, ... and much more!

Summary: A simply beautiful house, very stylishly furnished and very well equipped. The roof terrace is excellent for a long, lazy afternoon in the sun. Probably the best holiday home we have stayed in.

Summary: We stayed in this lovely home for two weeks and we’re so pleased we chose it. The online communication with Jeanette, the owner, was very good although we didn’t have the pleasure of actually meeting her personally. The house is so relaxing and so is the location, the facility’s are top notch with a wonderful large terrace overlooking village with views of the surrounding mountains and sea in the distance. Jeanette has furnished her property beautifully and this made us feel relaxed the minute we opened the door, she clearly has a good eye for furnishings. Cómpeta is quite a climb by car on winding roads from Malaga and it’s a hilly village set in the mountains, it’s so relaxing and just what we were looking for, we certainly enjoyed our experience.

Summary: We spent for the second time, 3 weeks at El Puentecillo in summer 2018. This lovely house is well situated a few minutes by walk from the centre and fully furnished with modern equipments. All rooms are comfortable and we spent lovely and fresh hours in the flowery terrace. El Puentecillo is owned by an artist who loves her house and we can easely feel it. We surely will return there . Summary: We spent 3 weeks in this beautiful house and we had a gret time there! The house was clean and fully furnished, with a fresh patio and even a summer kitchen in the roof terrasse where it is possible to cook. Moreover, the house is very well located, close to the picturesque center of this beautiful village (bars, restaurants, shops, etc...). Jeanette (the owner) and Roberto (the key holder) were very friendly and receptive. Vacation House highly recommended.
