Positive: The location was very fun -- central, overlooking one of the main drags and at the end of one of the main piazzas. It's great for people-watching from the balcony. The breakfast was taken downstairs in a cafe with a coupon from the lodge owner. Everything in Ortigya was walking-distance from the lodge.

Negative: TOO MUCH NOISE during the night! We were there off season and still every night was so noisy. Either people out and about into the early hours, or street sweeping vehicles sweeping, or picking up of bins of glass bottles so they would smash and crash, barking dogs .... Sleep was challenging unfortunately.

Summary: Charming home space with an entertaining vantage point for people watching, but bring ear plugs!

Positive: Very well placed in the middle of Ortigia but not noisy . Accommodation had everything you would need packed in very efficiently. Even a small outside courtyard area . The owner was really helpful and communicated very well . We had a lovely stay. Breakfast in cafe literally next door.

Positive: The location was great as was the communication with the manager of the manager of the property

Negative: The room was quite compact, the kitchenette was in the wardrobe (which was quite cute) The patio was very small and quite tatty/uncomfortable The photos on the website were not of our room but of another- more spacious room with a balcony- yet we paid the same price for our smaller, darker room The reviews which convinced us to choose this location, must have been referring to the better room
