This one bedroom fully furnished apartment with fully equipped kitchen and bath, fresh paint and new floors, is located in the heart of down town Reykjavik, next to the City´s Old Harbor. Equipped to house up to four (with a double sofa-bed).
Just about everything you may ever want in Reykjavík is with-in a walking distance. Historic sites, city landmarks, restaurants, bars, super markets, churches, swimming pools, museums and concert halls are all with-in reach! Lets not forget the City Pond with ducks and birds! There were makeup wipes, dry shampoo etc stocked in the bathroom, washer and dryer with washing liquids provided. Messages and updates from the property regarding restaurant and sight seeing suggestions. It really was the little things that made a big difference!

Location can’t be beat! Walking distance to a lot of restaurants and main street. Love the view and it’s spaciousness and all its amenities. All the tips in the binder were very helpful. The hosts were very accommodating! Would definitely stay here again!

There is a lot to love about this apartment. The location is excellent--you can reach the main attractions of Reykjavik on foot, and you can see beautiful sunrises and sunsets right from the private balcony. The cooking facilities are good, with lots of cookware, dishes, glasses, cutlery, etc. so you can cook proper meals. The owners have clearly put a lot of effort into finer details so the flat feels spacious and homey. It was well-cleaned, and the beds were some of the best beds I have ever slept in (nice and firm, but with a bit of a pillow top so you get support with just the right amount of cushioning). It was a good location for getting out and seeing the sights, but also would have been a very comfortable place to just hide out on a rainy day. Comfortable seating options in the living room and dining room, all nicely furnished.

Summary: Overall, great stay and would come again. Pros - great location (walking distance) for restaurants/shopping/groceries, clean and comfortable, great washer & dryer in apartment, fully functional kitchen with utensils, nicely decorated, property manager very quick to respond to questions. Cons - as with many cities, very challenging to find close all-day free street parking but there is a free gravel lot about 5 minute walk away. As expected with a ground floor location on busy street corner it can get a little noisy with traffic.

Summary: Modern, comfortable apartment near plenty of restaurants and sites in Reykjavik. Bakeries, grocery stores within 5 to 10 minute walk from apartment. We didn't have car, but parking is available. Apartment has dishwasher, washer and dryer, so can cook if you want and you can pack a little lighter since you can was if needed. Kristen is easy to contact, and promptly responds to your messages. She provides a good deal of local information if you're new to Reykjavik. We will return to this apartment in the future when we return to Reykjavik.
