Positive: Tammy and Scott were wonderful hosts. Our room had everything you could possibly want. The bathroom was sizable and very clean. We enjoyed chatting with them, and breakfast was a yummy quiche and yogurt parfait. We would highly recommend a stay here. We'll be back if we find ourselves in Pueblo again.

Positive: The house is beautifully restored and the hosts were wonderful. They showed us around and shared the history of their home and the are. There were great historic photos on the walls that we enjoyed. (We were engaged with all of this- if you are the type that just wants to check in and go to your room, I'm sure they would be respectful of that!) There were more amenities than I can list- all included! A bar, snacks in the dining room and bedroom, drinks (including beer and wine) in our room, plush robes, lovely toiletries, a sound machine, a comfy bed, upscale bedding and towels and more! The homemade breakfast was delicious and featured local ingredients. Cannot recommend Downden House enough! Forget the cookie-cutter chain hotels- this gem is amazing.

Negative: This was not an issue for us, but because this is an historic property, there is no elevator. Just be aware if you have physical limitations, so that you are not expecting that 21st century convenience!

Positive: I liked everything! The house is lovely. the bedroom was lovely and the owners are lovely! What more could you want! I would highly recommend Downen House to anyone looking for a historic gem close to downtown and in a beautiful neighborhood.
