Positive: Beautiful surroundings. Very friendly staff and clean and modern. Delicious breakfast.

Negative: The club spa facilities extremely limited for children. Kids allowed in gym at 11 so I was told, my daughter of 8 was going to sit on the side while I did a quick workout agreed by two lovely staff members. Service manger approached very policing and abrupt no friendliness said no children at all and when I told her of her staff agreement she did not believe me and no apologies for misinformation. No kids menus in the cafe upstairs. In the pool on Sunday after 9 kids allowed quite busy a few kids. Lots of snooty looks from club members swimming. One of them told us off for swimming lanes with our kids who are good swimmers. All because they wanted one lane each to themselves when two people can easily share a lane no sign of no kids in the lanes. Very rude members a who said “get your kids away from here” and “you lot don’t like to follow rules, your obviously not a members.” I’m sure they could come during adult only or weekdays as members but it’s easier just to blame parents and the next growing generation I guess. I didn’t feel I could have complained to the manager after this incident as probably would have had the same attitude towards kids. There is at least 3 saunas, 2 jacuzzies and a steam room all for adults only! Kids are very limited to pool only and they started to get cold and wanted to have a little dip in the jacuzzi but not allowed. So much facilities for adults and they try to keep it very limited for children. It did not feel welcoming and limited family changing rooms. Mums with older boys over 10 in the female changing rooms made my girls very uncomfortable. I’ve been to other Hilton’s that are more relaxed about kids in jacuzzi and in other countries but in this country they are restricting kids more and more to make adults more comfortable. It just doesn’t feel like family vibe to me. As much the majority of staff very lovely I would not come back as a family.
