Positive: Comfy beds, ceiling fans great at keeping the place cool and not at all noisy in the heavy rain. Easy parking and lots of safe space for the kids to run around.

Negative: The roller catch doors are noisy and required propping open or closed when any windows are open, please just switch to regular door catches. Main bathroom handle over the bath needs fixing.

Positive: We chose it because it near my son’s home. It was charming, decorated in 70’s taste - one of the sets of crockery displayed was the design we had for a wedding present. We were married in 1975. Beds very comfortable. It was warm and cosy There were hares playing in the field.

Negative: The shower in the ‘family’ bathroom was a bit random in delivering hot water.

Positive: There are 3 lodges... none are particularly close to each other - and they all look out onto a large paddock. There was no noise - it was really quiet. The ceiling fans (in each room) were a real bonus as the weather we had was nice and warm. The outside patio area was a welcome surprise - with a picnic table and, if we had wanted, deck chairs in the shed. The cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer were great. The kettle is a hob kettle - not electric - and gave a pleasing whistle when ready :)

Negative: There was nothing not to like! The first time we got there we were a little confused by the directions - the lodges are numbered 1-3, but our booking was a named lodge. Turned out to be #2 :) The en-suite shower tray in the main bedroom looked a little dodgy (the tray bent a bit at the join) but the bath in the other bathroom was great - so we used that (it also has a shower).

Summary: Everything you could need so a quiet stay - with access to plenty of places to visit.

Positive: Had a lovely stay in this cabin. Very comfortable and spacious. Everything you needed was in the kitchen with a lovely welcome basket and an Easter card from the owners, who I met on my dog walks. The owners were lovely and friendly, very welcoming. Would definitely stay again.
