Positive: Tucked away on a wooded headland on the outskirts of Villa La Angostura, this is a lovely hotel with all the trimmings. the staff were friendly, the rooms comfortable and the view of the lake mesmerizing.

Negative: It isn't as secluded as it seems, and is one of a series of similar-looking lodges on the headland.

Summary: Wooden lodge on the lakefront with lovely views, and helpful and friendly staff
