Positive: Beautiful immaculate comfortable home, nice and helpful hosts, GORGEOUS open land with roaming horses, foals, donkey, short walk to town.

Negative: Nothing really, it was great. We had a little trouble figuring out the washing machine and how to lock the front door as they’re different from the US but we worked it out, no problem.

Positive: Our family of 3 were very comfortable during our 2-night stay in Joan's spacious, immaculate apartment just a short drive from Doolin's main street, amidst peaceful countryside, with a view of the Cliffs of Moher. Joan was very responsive in communications prior to our arrival (we learned how to navigate using postcodes instead of addresses), and when we arrived, we were so pleased with the amenities of the accommodation--including Joan's thoughtful provision of some breakfast provisions. After our initial time spent in Dublin and Galway hotels, it was such a pleasure to be able to spread out in a countryside house. Our young adult/teen daughter was ecstatic with the ocean view from her window and the proximity to the mare and 10-day-old foal in the paddock alongside the property. (The Joan's son raises horses to sell, and he also gave us a helpful tip about seeing the Cliffs of Moher after the park officially closed, for quiet sunset views without the crowds.)

Negative: My daughter wished she had discovered the hair dryer in her bedroom vanity drawer the first night of our stay, after her shower. (Turned out there was one in both upstairs bedrooms, but we didn't discover this until the morning we left.) So this is not a complaint about a lack of amenities, but maybe a suggestion that the hair dryer could be placed on the bathroom shelving for more obvious access.

Summary: Excellent if you're in Doolin, and would highly recommend.

Positive: The 3-bedroom house is situated on a coastal hill overlooking the sea and the cliffs of Moher. The house is furnished and equipped as if you were at home, the cleanliness is perfect. Joan is a super host, she will fulfil all your wishes immediately. Thank you for your hospitality!

Negative: The house is a little far from the village, but is quickly accessible by car. Renting this house is not cheap, but perfect accomodation for 4-6 people.

Positive: Perfect location. Warm fire on a cool and rainy night. Laundry facilities. Hostess provided eggs, milk, bread and juice. Jellies and butter. Tea/coffee sugar and creamer!

Negative: The road is extremely narrow with stone walls to maneuver around.

Summary: Wonderful location. Would love to stay here for a month!

Positive: This was our favorite place to stay during our Ireland vacation - we could have easily spent a week. The pictures don't do it justice. There's so much to drive to and explore in the area - Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, all around the Burren. It was spacious and comfortable, incredible views, and so peaceful. The walk to town intimidated us in the dark, but the host showed us where to park right next to the main road, so we did the little 3 minute drive each night. The bars have music around 9-11pm each night, full of tourists and local music and a great time. Joan was so kind, allowing us to arrive late, and her son even drove us into town the first night. This was exactly the charming Irish experience we were looking for!

Positive: What’s not to like? Perfect location, beautiful walk to the village. Stunning views of the cliffs and the countryside. Loved the cottage, great place for sleep, food and relaxation. The cottage was so clean and bright, it was truly amazing. The beds were incredibly comfortable with the perfect amount of linens. Will definitely stay again!!

Positive: The host provided breakfast supplies (eggs, bread, milk, juice, coffee, tea) but we did not have time to use them. The location was great for easy access to our activities - Cliffs of Moher and Aran Island ferry / day trip. We enjoyed the nights at local pubs close by.

Negative: Nothing other than that we didn't have enough down time to enjoy the house.
