Summary: The house is comfortable, interestingly furnished and with good provision for heating (which we didn't need in June) The main rooms have a delightful view of trees and sea beyond. The owner is helpful and obviously thoughtful but we could have done with a little more written information, particularly as to how to find the house. A long, clean sandy beach is a short drive or 20 to 25 mins walk away. It is one of many lovely beaches and the local council seems to look after them very well, has built boarded walkways through areas of salt marsh and dunes to provide access while protecting the environment, it provides information about flora and fauna and, even in low season, employs people to clean up any litter. The feeling of the area in low season is quiet and rural although there are a lot of scattered holiday houses in the hills near the beaches and in full season we gather the beaches are busy. A slight drawback for us was that, apart from visiting the lovely beach and strolling to the nearest headland there was not a great deal to do without driving. There didn't seem to be foot paths except along the shore. Only one restaurant was within easy walking distance and it wasn't open in the evenings. The nearest shop is in Ferrol. However, there are plenty of places to visit an hour or two's drive away. We had a lovely holiday and strongly recommend it.

Summary: Very beautiful place and very pleasant stay! We would definitely love to come again! We were 2 families with adolescents and enjoyed a great lot our time there, between staying in the house, going to the beach and exploring the beautiful surroundings by foot. The house is located on a hill with a splendid view on the surroundings including the beach of Doninos and the small lake underneath. The greatest asset is the terrasse where you can relax and eat while enjoying the view. Inside the house is very pleasantly decorated too, and the kitchen is well equipped. Doninos is a fantastic beach where you can surf or windsurf but also easily swim despite waves Note that it takes 20 minutes to get to the beach but it is a pleasant walk along the road or a wooden path bridge over the sand dunes. There is no village or shop in the area but there is a small restaurant nearby (with spectacular sunsets but disappointing food). You can easily go to Ferrol or another beach at San Xurxo using 2 bus lines with stops close to the house or to the beach. Last but not least, Antonio and his sister Ruth were very friendly and helpful to arrange our arrival and gave useful advices on the area. In sum, all perfect for a peaceful break remote from more touristic places.

Summary: This house is a really perfect base for travelling by car in Galicia. It offers you everything you can think of in terms of comfort, relax and esthetics. Its location makes 6-8 hour day trips to numerous Galician places of interest a very easy task. Ferrol, where there’re supermarkets (e.g.Carrefour) and plentiful eateries, is just a 10-15 minute drive from the house. The driveway to the grounds is somewhat narrow, but it’s not something that should make one nervous. The view of the ocean from its terrace (comfortable sunbeds, a grill, chilled albariño + fried dorada or lubina, vines over your head, you name it...) is to die for. The long beach is within walking distance (10-15 min) and it’s absolutey gorgeous and not covered by hundreds of human bodies (June 01-15, 2019). The house is beautifully decorated and very well equipped with all possible stuff one might need during one’s vacation. It’s pet friendly and you’ll find quite picturesque routes for walking your dog. The owner, Mr. Antonio Jaime Blanco, is a very friendly person. He speaks perfect English and Italian (apart from Spanish and Gallego, obviously) and is very easy to communicate with. To cut the long story short: if life gives us one more. chance to visit Galicia, I won’t waste my time going through hundreds of options offered on homeaway.com. I know what my choice will be.

Summary: This is a wonderful property with all of the amenities you could hope for - and more. The house is beautifully appointed, the beds and bedding are excellent, the kitchen equipment complete and high quality and the living room furniture is very comfortable for relaxing. The view towards the ocean is stunning at all times of the day. Surrounded by levels of well-tended walled gardens you feel cocooned in a world of tranquility and beauty. It is a short walk to an astounding beach with miles of walking trails. An absolute gem of a place only made better by the friendliness and caring attentions of the kind hosts.

Summary: Unfortunately the weather was not very kind to us so we couldn't enjoy the terrace and the lovely view. However that did not spoil our time as the house was nice and warm and cosy. We had a few trips out got soaked but that's life. Everything worked well in the house and the fire was like a furnace to dry our clothes. Lovely unspoilt area. Support and advice given by owners family members super people. Great experience thank you

Summary: Even though we arrived very late we were met and given a this tour. Waking up in the morning even though it was raining to discover a lovely view of the sea. Walking every day along the coastline. And then the occasional check in from the owner via email was very much appreciated

Summary: A lovely comfortable and clean house, with plenty of kitchen equipment and crockery. The views of the beach are wonderful and it takes 10-15 minutes to reach it on foot, depending whereabouts you want to be. Arrangements to collect and hand back the keys were straight-forward and all dealings with Antonio were speedy and efficient.
