Positive: Fabulous location, peaceful, house very well kitted out and wants for nothing, Incredible views (my photo doesn't do it justice) and the owner is very nice and helpful. A real Gent with good restaurant recommendations! Although it was just the two of us, the house is great for families. We would definitely stay there again. So much to see in the area and although it's mountainous roads everywhere in the region they are in great shape. Small local butcher (Macelleria - Antico Salumificio Castiglione) sells great local meat products at a reasonable price, the lovely Sestri Levante is a recommended 30 minute drive, easy shopping, Cinque Terra is about 1 hour away by car. Everyone we met in the local towns and villages was extremely kind and always happy to talk to us. This area in Liguria is one of our all time favourite Italian destinations and the house only makes it even better.

Negative: This is not a criticism in anyway but, would be nice to be able to park the car in the driveway although our Gibraltar registered car was perfectly safe parked on the layby outside the house and the very steep driveway to the house might catch out someone without a 4x4 if it was wet and they wouldn't get up the hill. The owner was correct in asking us not to park in the driveway. That said, do not let this stop you from staying at the property, it was no problem at all and we would definitely stay in the house again.

Summary: Super house, great views, excellent central location, nice owner, highly recommended!

Positive: The villa is excellent—very spacious and well-furnished. It was fully equipped with everything you could need and even more, with great attention to detail. The location was perfect with the charming views of the hills and the sea. The host was incredibly friendly and responsive, providing helpful local tips and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay.
