Positive: Lovely view and well placed to explore the area. The owners were very good to let us change gites when the one we booked didnt suit us.

Negative: The thing that spoiled it for us was the difficult access. A very steep road and steep path + steps to arrive at our gite. (That's why we changed it) Maybe for younger people it's OK but a definite problem for my husband with a dodgy knee. Maybe a warning about this would be a good idea so people can decide if it's OK for them.

Positive: Beautiful location, beautiful apartment, really well-equipped. The owners are lovely and informative, but not intrusive. Really near to good hiking, but also not far from Nice. Perfect place for a getaway, would recommend or return in a heartbeat!

Positive: The location is really beautiful. The hosts Christele & Phillipe were so charming and helpful. The Gite had all the equipment and the terrace was amazing.

Negative: As I have mobility issues the access was difficult for me. For my family it was no problem.

Positive: Excellent - was exactly what we were looking for and as described. The Gite felt very private and had a choice of outdoor seating areas. We were only a few steps away from a lovely pool. The gardens are lush and relaxing. The host is around and about if required and very helpful. The inside of Gite had everything we needed for a 5-night self-catering stay! Lots of room in the fridge for our wine and local cheese! We loved the location - driving can be challenging but interesting and the local villages are beautiful. The nearest village to the Gites has a great Pizza restaurant with a stunning view! Perfect if you want a relaxing break, to immerse yourself in nature, read a book, and chill! Zen vibes.... We definitely want to come back.

Positive: We fell instantly in love with Gîte Les Deux Roches. It is not an exaggeration to call it a paradise! Peaceful, beautiful, so perfectly placed amidst the wooded hillside. The host dog, Romy, led us by herself on the short hike down to the river, and back again - no joke! We so enjoyed the sauna, punctuated by bracing dips in the pool. The fireplace in our apartment "Violette" kept us more than toasty on a chilly night. If you are like us, seeking to leave behind the madness of Nice and the crowded Cote, then head to the hills and soak in the serene karma of this lovely place!

Negative: SO wish that we could have stayed longer! Will have to settle for coming back.

Summary: In sum, it's paradise for a reasonable price.

Positive: It is a truly wonderful place! Beautifully located on the hill side, perfectly secluded yet close to both medieval villages and coastal towns. We have spent amazing 5 days there, enjoying the silence at the pool, breakfest at the private terrace with wonderful view and evenings in sauna. The appartment is cosy, comfortable, well eqquipped to make you feel like home but also full of subtle design elements making it just beautiful. Christelle is always available yet discreet and respectful to our privacy. And we loved the time we spent with Romy and Nala, the dog and cat who accompanied us every day making the stay even more unforgettable. Thank you!
