Summary: We loved the forested surroundings, with lots of walking trails. On the days it was very hot, we relaxed just a short walk across the meadow by the Mossig river. Just a small river but wonderful to cool your feet. There were chairs we could make use of and lovely beech trees to sit under. The overall impression of the area was one of neatness and pride of ownership. The charming architecture of the surrounding villages made it pleasurable for short road trips. The beauty of the wine route, the high hills and the surprising city of Colmar made our vacation all that we hoped for. Our report would not be complete without mentioning the hospitality afforded by our hosts, Rosine and Abilio. The fresh baquest outside our door every morning was a real treat! Even though we speak hardly any French and just a little German, we were able to ask questions, and Rosine went out of her way to please us. Thank you, merci, vielen dank!
