Summary: It was a great stay, but our comforter and linens were dirty. :( The comforter smelled dirty and our linens had stains. Thank goodness for DG we went to purchase laundry detergent. The master bedroom definitely needs a new bed frame. The one it has is really squeaky and the mattress is lumpy, but overall the house has a beautiful view to the ocean. I still can’t figure out why there’s ALOT of stuffed animals in all rooms and living room. We will definitely visit again and hopefully the master bedroom has a more comfortable mattress.

Summary: We had a relaxing week, weather was gorgeous, seafood everywhere and at least once a day. We were disappointed the train operated on the weekends only and we were not there. We dis have to walk our dogs every few hours because there is no fenced dogfie rwlief yard.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at Surf’s Edge in Rockaway Beach. Mostly the home met or exceeded our expectations. However, there are some areas that could be improved. Access to beach could be improved by trimming back the shrubs lining the path. One of the steps was very high and is difficult for children and the elderly. A hand rail would be a welcome improvement. The window blinds are mounted 7/8 way up the window. This leaves an opening at the top each window allowing sunlight to fill the rooms early in the morning. Please consider re-mounting the blinds at the top of the windows (especially in the bedrooms). The rear door at the back of the home is installed incorrectly with the hinges on the outside of the home. Anyone with a screwdriver can simply remove the hinges and access the home. Considering the rental fees, one would expect the home to be supplied with facial tissue (Kleenex), as well as something better than commercial grade single ply toilet paper (cheap, cheap, cheap!). The digital lock on the front door was convenient the FIRST time. Please provide a physical key to make exiting / entering the home easier. As the home is pet friendly, some small grassy area off the front or back door would have been nice. Overall the home was clean, but I think the windows have not been cleaned in a long time. Cobwebs can be found behind the blinds and most of the windows were hazy.

Summary: This is the third time we have stayed at this property. We keep coming back because of its beautiful location right on the ocean and the wonderful condition the property is kept in. If you're looking for a wonderful beach front property located in a small seaside town on the Oregon coast then this is it. We will be back again.

Summary: Upon arrival it was very noticeable that the pictures in the listing were taken quite some time ago. The house is not as pictured, it is worn and appeared dingey. The floors were sticky and not totally clean, the baseboards and windowsills were disgusting and the house had a wierd not clean smell to it. I made the property manager aware and they got me in contact with the cleaning manager. When i discussed what i felt was unclean she informed me that those were deep cleaning items and that they were not scheduled to deep clean until the end of the month. While she offered to send someone back to the house there was no reason if she wouldnt be taking care of the deep cleaning issues. I was also informed that rhe owner specified what was being used to clean the floors and she said she would inform him that it leaves a tacky/sticky film. I dont believe that vacuuming baseboards and windowsills and washing doors or walls where there are obvious stains/messes should be a deep clean but if it is then i believe the owner should be getting those services. The location was what was the winner, it was amazing to be on the beach and be able to sit outside and listen and watch the waves. If the cleaning could be upgraded this would be an amazing stay. Well that and new mattresses or toppers or something. Beds were like sleeping on cement.
