This spacious, dog-friendly retreat features a grand living room with cathedral ceilings and a wood-burning fireplace, multiple gathering areas, and a versatile layout ideal for groups. Enjoy a private forest-facing deck with a hot tub, plus a separate over-garage unit for added flexibility. Complete with a two-car garage and thoughtful amenities throughout, it's perfect for relaxing Tahoe getaways, family gatherings, or special occasions.
Main Level: Features a grand living room with trussed cathedral ceilings with a wood burning fireplace, adjoining bar area, dining room, kitchen, breakfast nook, bathroom, and a side den area with two glass doors allowing people to work away from the rest of the group. The back deck faces open forest for wonderful seclusion with patio furniture, propane BBQ, and new hot tub (May 2024).
Upstairs: A spacious master bedroom with extra sitting area, dual vanity, and tub shower. This level also has a second master bedroom with queen bed and attached bath.

Summary: The house itself is beautiful and you can tell it was once meticulously maintained. Unfortunately, the current rental company is doing a poor job of keeping it clean and up to the standards advertised in the listing.When we arrived, the home was not properly cleaned — we found mouse droppings in one of the rooms, dirty dishes, stained sheets, and bathroom mats that smelled bad and looked unwashed. The trash can was also broken. We were told upon arrival that the oven wasn’t working, and to their credit, they did send a technician the next day.After we raised concerns about the overall cleanliness, a cleaning company came out the next day, took the linens to be washed, and said they’d return — but they never came back. So we were left trying to make the best of a situation that still didn’t feel fully resolved.The listing on VRBO also significantly oversells the property. It mentions hotel-like amenities in the bathrooms, Bluetooth throughout the home, and other features that were either missing or not as described.For the amount we paid, this stay was very disappointing. If the rental company stepped up their cleaning and maintenance standards, this could be a great place — but in its current state, it’s not worth the premium price.

Summary: We had an amazing stay for 5 nights. Plenty of memories were made, lake was epic, hot tub after cold lake was even better. The property was experiencing a mouse problem which was addressed when we discovered it the day we checked in however we continued to have mouse issues throughout the stay. The property is in the woods so these things can be expect I guess. Also, the pull out bed in the space above the garage is worn out.

Summary: The managers of the house were very communicative and repsectful. My one complaint is that you have to walk around the entire house to get to the back deck because they permanently locked the back doors
