Moccasin Lake is located on the Wallowa River with a bridge that leads down to the water - enjoy the 165 feet of private river frontage while you stay at this lovely cabin. The large deck on the back offers a quiet retreat with the river burbling along nearby. The yard is flat and well maintained, with a bridge that takes you to the river, making this the perfect cabin for children and adults alike! Inside this adorable cabin is a knotty-pine all-wood interior. The living room has a propane fireplace, a flatscreen TV, and comfortable seating. The kitchen is equipped with all the things you'll need to prepare wonderful meals and shares an open floor plan with the living room, so the cook can partake in the group's conversation. Both bedrooms are outfitted with comfortable queen beds and the bathroom includes a shower/tub combo. You'll also find a washer and dryer in the utility room. This is one of the most popular vacation rentals at the resort side of Wallowa Lake. Even though it is situated at the end of a road, it is a short walk to the Wallowa Lake State Park, the Wallowa Lake Marina, the Wallowa Lake Tramway, and more fun activities at the south end of Wallowa Lake!

Seasonal bbqs are available from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. BBQs are propane and tanks are provided. We strongly encourage you to review your tank level in the morning and if a replacement is needed please reach out to your local contact for a tank replacement.
The bridge takes you to the Wallowa River.
No fires or fire pits are ever allowed due to the heavy timbered area and county restrictions.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in this cabin. There was snow on the ground, and the snow on the deck had been shoveled out of the way. The gas fireplace was nice, and the kitchen had what we needed to prepare meals. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable during our stay, so no issues with streaming our favorite shows.

Summary: We've been guests at Moccasin Lake for a few years and appreciate the simple layout, openness of the living/dining area, accessibility of the space. It was a delight to have a new (to us) fridge/freezer, and we appreciate the owners' participation in making their home away from home our home away from home each fall. We have appreciated WLVR over the years and are grateful the local team remains connected.

Summary: This fun cabin/cottage is situated in a great location near the State Park and area amenities. We were able to easily walk to sites and activities. The outside deck faced the river and was a peaceful oasis where you could watch the wildlife. The house, while small, has a nice open main living area. It had all the amenities we needed.

Summary: The place was alright, but the whole house is slanted and the beds are not comfortable or flat. VRBOs customer service also sucks. I'll be sticking with Airbnb in the future.

Summary: We stayed for three nights and absolutely loved the cabin. It is steps from the rushing river at the end of a dead end street so no noise or traffic. The furnishings are in great shape and there were no issues with anything. It was very clean, even the BBQ. The beds and sofa were comfortable. TV could be used with DVDs or Fire Stick. Our small dog absolutely loved it as well. There is plenty to do and the wildlife was abundant. Deer in the yard several times, bear scat in the driveway (though no siting) and one evening a red fox trotted down the street in front of us! We hope to return soon!

Summary: This house was nicely updated. The beds and couch were comfortable. The living room was spacious, the fire place was lovely, and the kitchen was nicely updated with great dishes, pans, and appliances.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in this cute little cabin. It was clean and equipped with just about everything we needed for a long weekend. We loved the river in the back of the cabin and the quiet of the neighborhood. The fireplace was nice because it got quite cold during our stay. The kitchen was adequately equipped for most cooking needs. While I would not say that the cabin is "rustic" it is definitely a cabin so expectations should be adjusted somewhat. But some items definitely need attention. Both beds could use new mattresses and the back porch is in need of repair and/or a complete replacement. Overall though a great little spot. If we were to come back to Joseph we would definitely stay here again.
