Dock details: Located just outside the home. It will be shared with any Guests that rent out the other duplex. No gate, no code or key is needed to enjoy the dock. Swim at your own risk. There is not a boat launch at this home.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Summary: Great location near family relatives. Easy access, convenient. Poorly maintained. NO (working) LIGHTS underneath house at night. Very dark to see. Washer/dryer in dark downstairs wet, nasty utility closet. Kitchen very ill equipped. One side has a dishwasher. One side does not. One side had 2 coffeemakers but only one pot. Rental agency brought one over. Floors were very dirty and need a good cleaning! Kitchen totally unorganized - no mixing bowls, baking sheets/pans, - could be MUCH better with a good cleaning!! Nice TV's but need to attach remote to each TV. Found 4 remotes on one side and none on the other. PROVIDE TV instructions. Charcoal grill available... We enjoyed playing games around the large dining tables.

Summary: PROS Vacation Pros - Right on water - Dock - Duplex nice for privacy for kids - Nice underneath to play corn hole and other games - Close to a few restaurants and small grocery - Ability to rent golf cart - Nice canoe and some rafts - Washer/Dryer in storage unit below - Super nice neighbors (let us borrow some things) - Bellingrath Gardens/Home close by - Nice vanities in each bedroom - Close to Ft Gaines and Aquarium Cons - kitchen totally unorganized. It’d be nice if there was some type of inventory or labeling inside cabinets. They want you to keep things separated bt 2 sides of duplex but very difficult with 11 people going back and forth and trying to have dinners together - decor very outdated except for tv - Should have ladder for dock - No communication with owner, tried texting thru Vrbo and Vacasa with no response - Life jackets should be available for canoe - No beach towels or chairs - Outdoor shower is just a hose -

Summary: This place has a great location for walking, biking , or scootering to many places on the island- sea lab, ferry , fort Gaines, bird sanctuary, beach, and playground. It is a great place to share with another family. It has a door between two sides allowing you to have your own space but be close as well.

Summary: Good location, well stocked, plenty of space (we had both sides), responsive host, enjoyed the island. Nice deck for morning coffee, watching birds and even saw dolphins swim by. A few minor housekeeping issues which did not spoil our stay. Would definitely return for another island vacation.

Summary: Both sides of the duplex were comfortable and easy for our family! We loved having plenty of towels. The kitchens were easy to navigate. Only down side was the stairs were steep for grandma but she did it! We also really appreciated the lights in the carport!
