This retreat was completely renovated in 2017 with modern appliances and marble countertops and floors, offering the ultimate vacation experience. When it comes to outdoor living, this retreat enjoys a private back porch that overlooks a spacious rolling backyard, a firepit where you can gather for some storytelling while roasting marshmallows, and yard games. Summary: This is a new rental--the tags are still on the furniture--so I'm hoping with this feedback, the owner will address the issues we had, which they may not have even been aware of. However, I wouldn't book without receiving confirmation that the necessary repairs have been made. The heaters made a horrible racket, a banging and a high pitched squeal, that made it impossible to sleep. The property management folks dropped off a space heater to get us through, but a plumber will need to fix both this and the water pressure, which was very low, especially in the kitchen sink. This made dishwashing challenging, along with the sink hardware having been installed incorrectly so you can't turn the hot water all the way on.) The refrigerator also stopped working during our stay, which resulted in some lost food that needed to stay frozen. It turned out that the breaker had flipped, but we didn't have access to that in the unit. I was very happy to have such responsive property management people--we needed them a lot. The furnishings were lovely and quite comfortable and the layout was convenient. We appreciated being able to bring the dog, and there are terrific places for dog walking -Pine hill park has miles of trails. However, for the price we paid, I would expect the place to be closer to restaurants, etc, and for appliances to work.
