The holiday house PETRINO is located directly at the sea, just outside the small village Keratokampos surrounded by gardens, olive groves and vineyards. From the house you have a spectacular view across the southern coast of Crete and the Lybian Sea. As the name suggests, PETRINO is a stone house built in regional style on a large enclosed garden and nature property. The roofed, circumferential terrace is spacious and is the centerpiece of this beautiful location. With its massively constructed arcade arches it is a perfect venue to linger and relax.
There is a unique view across the hilly landscape of southern Crete and the blue sea. On the wind-sheltered and sight-protected terrace you can enjoy unforgettable sunsets every night. The furnishings in rustic country-style are in perfect harmony with the stone walls of the terrace and the house. The open kitchen is connected to the large living/dining room with direct access to the circumferential terrace with various seating possibilities. Just across the hall are the bedrooms and the bath.
A small, private path leads to the quiet gravel beach just below the house (distance approx. 60 m). In the basement of the house are two storage rooms used by the landlord.

Summary: Wir haben unseren Familienurlaub wirklich sehr genossen in dieser außergewöhnlich tollen Unterkunft. Der Ausblick und der Aufenthalt auf der absolut grandiosen Terrasse war einmalig. Wirklich toll. Zudem waren die Gastgeber sehr sehr freundlich und sie haben uns sogar mit einem BBQ am letzten Tag verwöhnt. Es hätte gar nicht besser sein können. Vielen Dank! Summary: Unser Leben in dieser wunderschönen Villa spielte sich fast nur auf dem Balkon ab mit einem sensationellen Ausblick. Die Villa ist komplett ausgestattet mit Filter-Kaffeemaschine, Toaster, Wasserkocher etc. Ein kleiner Weg führt hinab zum Strand und abends dann weiter nach Keratokampos/Kastri ins Restaurant. Besonders genossen haben wir den Rückweg im Dunkeln in wunderschöner Stimmung. Das Vermieter-Ehepaar hat uns herzlich empfangen und sogar mir einem leckeren Essen verabschiedet . Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Summary: Helena und Gianni sind überaus gastfreundlich. Bei Ankunft waren etliche Leckereien und Getränke im Kühlschrank schon vorhanden. Wir wurden am letzten Abend sogar zum Grillen eingeladen. Das Haus mit der tollen Veranda ist wunderschön, der Blick über das Meer einfach unbeschreiblich toll, die Lage super. Sehr erholsam und ruhig.

Summary: Wie offensichtlich alle Urlauber vor uns haben auch wir den Aufenthalt im Petrino in Keratókambos sehr genossen. Wir können uns nur den hier vorliegenden Meinungen anschließen: Das Appartment ist großzügig, die Loggia üppig, der Blick aufs Meer fast spektakulär, die Ausstattung super, der Strand sehr schnell erreichbar, das Dorf bietet alles, was man braucht und es gibt keinen Massentourismus(!!!). Elena und Giannis sind fürsorgende Vermieter so haben wir das noch nirgendwo gefunden. Damit uns der Abschied such schön schwerfiel, gab es am letzten Abend auch noch ein Barbecue mit den beiden mit üppiger Verköstigung. Die beiden sind wirklich ausnehmend sympathisch! Da fährt man gerne wieder hin!

Summary: …und endlich wieder am Meer: Sommerfrische bei Helena und Giannis ist wie heimkommen. Wer Kräfte tanken und die Seele baumeln lassen will, liegt hier richtig. Fern ab von touristischem Getöse zurück zur Natur: saftiges Obst, fangfrischer Fisch und Salz in der Luft! Vollmondnacht, Glockengeläut, Griechische Geselligkeit. Ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt bei unseren liebenswürdigen Gastgebern. Und nächstes Jahr? Petrino, what else ;-)

Summary: In dem perfekt gelegenen, prima ausgestatteten, blitzsauberen und wunderschönen Haus Petrino haben wir mit unseren beiden jugendlichen Kindern (15, 17) im Juli 2022 zwei Wochen lang einen unserer erholsamsten und abwechslungsreichsten Urlaube überhaupt verbringen dürfen. Wer fernab des Tourismus Natur, Kultur und noch etwas Urtümlichkeit erleben möchte, ist in dieser Ecke von Kreta bestens aufgehoben. Den in 1 Gehminute erreichbaren Strand hatten wir trotz Hochsaison oft für uns allein. Ca. 5 Gehminuten weiter nach Osten kann man in kristallklarem Wasser zwischen den Felsen mit den Fischen tauchen (dort teilweise auch schönste unberührte Sandabschnitte). Es bieten sich kleinere Ausflüge an, z.B. 20 Minuten zu Fuß in den unteren Abschnitt der nahegelegenen Richtra-Schlucht oder mit dem – unbedingt notwendigen – Auto in Richtung Osten nach Hierapetra (z.B. Wochenmarkt samstags) und ins hübsche Myrtos (z.B. Motorboot-Verleih), etwas längere z.B. nach Phaistos und Gortyn (Ausgrabungen) oder Heraklion (z.B. Knossos, archäologisches Museum u.v.a.m.); weitere herrliche Naturstrände sind in westliche Richtung zu finden, z.B. Paralia Listis oder beim abgeschiedenen Ort Maridaki, der am einfachsten über einen 20 minütigen Gehweg bzw. mit einem telefonisch anfragbaren Shuttleboot von Tsoutsouras aus besucht werden kann. Der fußläufig erreichbare Ortskern von Keratokampos und das anschließende Kastri halten neben zwei kleinen Supermärkten abwechslungsreiche Einkehrmöglichkeiten bereit, mit lecker-frischen preisgünstigen Speisen und Getränken, in lockerer und freundlicher Atmosphäre. Der Besuch der kulinarisch-urtypischen Taverna Amalia im Bergdörfchen Chondros hat uns auch sehr gefallen. Wir hatten das Glück, nur entspannten und aufgeschlossenen Menschen zu begegnen.  Das Schönste und Wichtigste zum Schluss: Die Gastgeber Giannis und Elena haben uns aufgenommen, versorgt und ihre Zeit mit uns geteilt wie mit Freunden. Bei Problemen sind sie mitten in der Nacht gekommen und haben geholfen. – Σας ευχαριστούμε για τη θερμή φιλοξενία σας! Wir kommen wieder!

Summary: Hallo, vielen herzlichen Dank für die Empfehlung. Wir waren total begeistert. Von den Gastgebern, wie vom Haus und der Lage. Die Aussicht von der großen überdachten Terrasse ist spektakulär. Der kleine Pfad zum ganz nahen Meer, und der Weg entlang des Strandes hin zum Ortskern mit einigen Tavernen ist einfach nur schön und entspannend. Alles gute Gründe, wiederzukommen.
