Positive: Beautifully decorated and well maintained apartment with excellent facilities. Situated directly on the beach with fabulous views from the very large terrace which had both sun & shade all day. Perfect location for regular dips in the sea and a good shower in the garden for washing off sea water. Secure on site parking is provided. Francesco & Porzia were fantastic hosts and regularly contacted us to check if everything was OK. They surprised us with a beautiful selection of pastries for breakfast on our first morning. Plenty of cafes & restaurants nearby, 10 - 15 minutes to drive into Monopoli. Would stay again if visiting the area.

Positive: Our parents are from Italy and we’ve returned as kids and also with our own family on numerous occasions. We’ve been in just about every province and tried every type of accommodation from bed and breakfast to agriturismo and while each has positive aspects simply put this apartment close to Monopoli Puglia is one of the best accommodations we have ever stayed in. We found this one on Booking.com and Francesco the owner has been great to communicate with and graciously met us upon arrival along with a big bowl of fruit and bottle of wine. And the next morning he left us fresh stuffed croissants like the ones we had in Rome. And when we left he gave us a nice going away present. His family has owned this property for a generation and the recent development of the upper level apartment is of top quality in function and design with the massive ocean view deck and covered veranda exclusive to the unit. This place is exceptionally clean and feels very fresh and bright with natural light and clearly everything is new. Wifi is awesome. The property is as oceanside as it gets with supplied beach chairs and umbrella a nice touch. Volcanic rock is out front which is a cool vibe and just beyond sand and warm water. And a five minute walk along the beach has some of the nicest public beaches we have encountered and that includes Greece where we just came from. There is secure protected parking for a vehicle on the property which matters because another couple we are travelling with are paying hourly parking in town. The second story apartment provides expansive 180 degree ocean and shoreline views and with it being above ground level there is a secureness to it. Not to mention the constant refreshing ocean breeze (it’s been around 40 degrees our whole month long holiday) that for the first time caused us to turn off the A/C and keep the screened windows open. There just doesn’t seem to be any bugs here.

Positive: This is the most incredible beach house and was the highlight of my wife’s and my honeymoon in Puglia. The pictures don’t do the beauty justice and Francesco and Porzia and incredible hosts. Even though it’s an apartment rental, they helped us make reservations and feel like locals. If I could give this a 12/10, I would. Thank you Francesco and Porzia!

Positive: Clean, modern, had all the amenities you can want and more. Terrace was beautiful to enjoy, especially in the morning, overlooking the beach and the sea. Porzia and Francesco were wonderful hosts. Francesco surprised us with breakfast delights one morning and it blew us away. Fresh fruit and wine on arrival was also a special addition. He was wonderful with our young daughter and always had a smile on his face! If we come back we would definitely stay here again. Thanks for making us feel incredibly welcome, we loved being right by the sea in your beautiful property! Sending you lots of well wishes

Positive: Secure and private parking (shared with the apartment on ground floor, but there is plenty space). Directly to the beach. Enjoyed the sunrise. Nice walks at beach. Quiet - the road is not very far, but we didn’t notice it. The host is extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions, etc. Welcome with fruit and a nice bottle of local red wine. Morning croissant on our 25th weeding anniversary (he didn’t now, but nice surprise though :-). ps.: having heard a lot rumors, we dreaded for the traffic going around with our own not very tiny car, however the traffic was very easy and not hectic. Just beware of the ZTL driving and parking zones in Monopoly.

Negative: No big thing - blue light in switch for light in bedroom (forgot to remove the tape – sorry).

Summary: Quiet and private. Good location for beach walks or driving to the many nice cities in the vicinity.

Positive: The location was perfect, right on the beach. Porzia and Francesco’s place is amazing. It is compact but very well designed with everything thought of. Francesco is an exceptional host. He had fruit and a welcome bottle of wine for us. He gave us lots of recommends and bought us fresh pastries on the second day. He even bought my husband a pair of goggles. You will feel like family with Francesco and I would happily return. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The views are sensational and you have your own private beach chairs. They really have thought of everything. It’s a little piece of paradise!
