Positive: The apartment was really very nice and super clean. Decoration was modern and stylish, and everything looked almost new. It had all we needed for a comfortable stay. The space is big and full of light, and the location is just perfect ,in the center, but quiet and easy to reach. Communication with the owner was excellent ,always fast reply and very helpful with local tips. We felt very welcome. Also, Bitonto is a great base if you want to explore the area but less crowded than Bari, with real local atmosphere.

Negative: Honestly, nothing. Everything was really great and we had no problems.

Summary: A perfect stay in a stylish and quiet place, we loved it!

Positive: - Very friendly, polite and helpful host. - Good (and quiet) location situated just a couple of meters from downtown/the historical centre. - Extreme room/bathroom cleanliness. - Extremely well equiped room (TV/espresso maker/fridge/electric stove/washing machine/kitchen utensils/dinnerware).

Negative: Bed size was a tad bit small for 2 people (not a double/kingsize one) but compared to all the pros the room offered that's basically nitpicking...

Summary: Quiet apartment situated near the historical centre. Also, amazing host !

Positive: Centrally located in Bitonto within easy reach of the old town and other sites. Very clean and well equipped with a comfortable bed and good air conditioning. Amelia our contact was great, she assisted us in finding an off street parking place for our car and provided some suggestion on places to visit. We’d definitely stay here again if in the area.

Positive: Very nice modern apartment with two balconies is located in a completely renovated building which is equipped with an elevator. The owner is very friendly and sociable, answers all questions. It was very nice that he prepared a treat for us in the apartment - local cakes.

Positive: Beautiful facility and the host has thought of everything. When I travel for work I need a fully equipped kitchen as eating out isn’t possible for me due to severe food allergies. So having a lovely kitchen in a fully renovated self-contained flat was great. It was also walking distance to amenities, public transport, and the old town. I was a solo traveler and felt very safe and secure in this flat. And that meant a lot to me! It is clear that the host loves this property and has gone to great efforts to make sure it is beautiful and well maintained.

Negative: Whilst I would happily recommend a friend to stay at this property there were a few things which bothered me personally. More specifically with regards policies about the property and with Booking.com generally. I’ve done my best to be transparent, balanced and fair. Given that the following feedback is personal preference, people reading should feel free to take it or leave it. The host was polite and mostly lovely, but sent a document to me (which I’m assuming they send to all guests) which in the final sentence threatens the guest with €50 fines should the guest not clean the kitchen before they leave. I’ve enclosed a screenshot of the notice I was sent on my last day. People can make up their own minds about how they feel about this policy. For me: ultimately, I asked for clarification on what the fine was for; and I was so concerned that I would be fined should I forget to do anything on their list, I video-recorded myself switching off all appliances, closing shutters…etc so that if claims would be made against me I have video evidence that I left the flat on time and was reasonable in my cleaning efforts. I sent this video to the host for transparency and safeguarding myself. Not that it matters to the reader but I feel I am a very neat and tidy person. Even when I travel. That said, on principal, I think that it is unreasonable to REQUIRE a guest to clean. Especially given that I didn’t stay at this property for free. I paid to be there. Cleaning/hiring a cleaner costs money. Therefore by extension, do I get paid/a refund for the time and effort it took ME to clean their kitchen for them? I also question the Booking.com platform and how it treats hosts. This host specifically asked me via WhatsApp for a certain rating because: “these platforms consider negative ratings lower than 9”. Additionally, booking.com gave this host access to my details and my phone number before my stay. Booking.

Everything has been thought to welcome you in the best conditions, the place is fully equipped to spend a very nice time.
