Summary: NEGATIVE: Unfortunately our stay was overshadowed by the fact that we couldnt receive a receipt for the full large cash-payment due on the first day of arrival. Marco told me my price was a price without receipt. Then I was promised a receipt once I was home, unfortunately I only received a receipt for a part of the amount almost 3 months and a lot of insisting later. POSITIVE: pretty, clean garden / Sympathetic landlords when we were there (afterwards no more)

Summary: We couldn't be more pleased with the choice we made to stay at La Chintana. Marco and his parents were there for anything we needed and we spent a relaxing week swimming in the pool, eating all our meals on the terrace or just wandering the grounds and admiring the spring flowers that were everywhere. The house has everything you need for your vacation and the atmosphere couldn't be more perfect. Due to it's raised location above the pool you have the feeling that you are alone on the property. This although there are 3 other units that belong to the same place. The house is also well located to visit Alghero, Stintino, Castelsardo or other places along the northwesten coast of Sardinia. We would definitely go back!

Summary: My husband and I stayed for a week for our silver wedding anniversary and we had a wonderful time. The villa was comfortable and had a beautiful view over the garden and open countryside to the sea, it also felt private because of its separate location and parking. The weather was a bit changeable when we stayed, but we spent every night on the veranda watching the sunset/ clouds/ stars or moon and listening to gentle clonking of sheep and cow bells (not loud enough to hear indoors and together sounding a bit like a wind-chime). We snorkelled from 7 or 8 different beaches and watched spectacular waves crash in on the days when the weather prevented this. We visited ancient ruins, attractive towns (Alghero is not too far away) and spectacular caves. We could have eaten out more than we did...but we wanted to be back on the balcony by sunset, so we settled for barbecued fish, pasta, salad, bread, cheeses and wine 'at home'. Wherever we went the people were really welcoming and tolerant of our minimal Italian. It was a fantastic holiday and we'd go back tomorrow if we didn't have to work!

Summary: First of all i want to thank our great host Marco and his family for the great house they own and maintain, and of course accommodating us! The description provided is definitely accurate. I would recommend to rent a car. Palmadula has two supermarkets which may not suit your needs, but many more are available in the vicinity, and you can always make a quick (30 min) trip to Alghero to stockpile. If you are the roaming type of vacationists, there is much to explore all over sardegna - you can reach the south shore within 2 hours, so nothing is really far away. The property itself is very well-maintained. In the time of our stay all facilities were functional and either clean or if they got dirty, were cleaned immediately. The firewood storage needed to light a grill was also fully stocked. Internet was available and totally functional. At all times, Marco and his family reacted immediately when we had a problem/question (which were very few). If i had to name 1 point of critique, it would be this: the seatings on the veranda could be a little longer/bigger, so you can take a nap on them. This does not warrant a -1 Star though, as you can just lay on the neatly trimmed and cleaned lawn in front of the house :-) Additionally an selection of local wines, jams & honey is provided within the suite, with fair pricing. I wish you nothing but the best and I hope your property continues to prosper!
