Positive: First, NO bed bugs! I checked and trust me, if there is a bug around, it will find me. Nothing. No mosquitos either. We needed rest, nothing more than a clean place to shower and sleep for the night. It was well lit, safe and quiet. AC blew cold, I’m sure the heat worked as well. We got up early and kept moving west. The bed was comfortable, clean sheets/blankets, simple and did the job. Staff was kind and pleasant. Shower was clean, tiled, drained well and the water was warm. Overall , a decent bathroom. Small soap bars, shampoo and conditioner provided, but I had my own. Toilet flushed well. TV worked. No coffee maker, but didn’t care. Refrigerator was cold. We were there about 12 hours only. I’ve stayed in other hotels in Van Horn. Nicer and newer, but twice or more the price. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. If you wish to save money and put it toward something else, I recommend this vintage roadside hotel. The best is that you can park right in front of your room, no stairs or sketchy dark hallways. Non-smoking throughout.I forgot to take photos, but you get the idea. There is a train close by, but it didn’t wake me up. I only heard it using the toilet at night. Restaurants and coffee shops close by. Easy access to I-10, but you cannot hear it. Not sure if pet friendly. Just ask.

Positive: Good budget hotel when passing through Van Horn. Well maintained, comfortable bed, good value

Negative: Train noise might annoy some. I was zonked out after 10pm, didn't notice the train noise till dawn, but it was quite obvious
