Positive: Pretty much as expected for a place in the middle of nowhere. Justa a small room but it was comfortable enough for one night, and the shower was nice and hot.
Negative: Not really anything that stands out. This place is simply one of few alternatives to stay overnight when travelling from the West Coast to Hobart, so expectations weren't high anyway.

Positive: The property is in a great location with access to walks close by, cafe next door and the hotel a few minutes away. The cottage was well designed with thoughtful touches including a kitchenette with useful utensils, handy towel rings for the tea towel and hand towel - and the small teapot was much appreciated. The owner was very helpful when I had a problem with the tv and promptly came to our cottage to fix it and explain how to operate the tv and dvd. The heating was on when we arrived, and the bed was comfortable and warm with electric blankets.

Positive: It was fully self contained and close to Lake St Clare. The chalet was clean and what you would expect from a mountain cabin style accommodation
Negative: Remarkably unwelcoming reception and angry, stern notices in the cabin made you wonder if they really wanted your business
