Positive: We loved every minute of our stay. The people are so kind and accommodating. The food is extremely delicious. Our kids ate vegetables and salads they would not normally try and loved them all. Each day we looked forward to dinner and wondered what surprises would be served. We stayed 6 nights and feel that we got a wonderful variety of food and local cuisine. The location is breath-taking. It does require a car, but it is well worth it to be able to discover the many hidden gems in this part of Austria. We greatly appreciate the hospitality and hope to come back.

Negative: Our mistake was not realizing the method of payment prior to checking in. Though our reservation was held with a credit card via Booking.com, it was not allowed for payment. We missed reading these details upon making our reservation. It would have been nice if this was mentioned when we arrived, since payment was not made until our departure. We were able to meet our obligation, but we had to contact our personal bank for assistance. We will be prepared for our next visit. :-)

Positive: We loved our staying in Ortnerhof! Family of 6 + 1 additional guest may comfortably accommodate in a 3 bedroom suite. It has 3 (3!!!) new bathrooms which is super convenient for a big family. Super clean kitchen with all new cutleries. We were able to cook lunch for the whole family- the kitchen is equipped with everything. Nice breakfast with cheeses, cereals, smoked salmon, variety of delicious breads and a la cart eggs. During our staying the dinner was always different, from meat to fish, amazing deserts, kids loved the pizza and fries, we got it even though it’s not in the menu. The slope for the kids is 2 mins drive from the hotel. But why we loved it more than any 5 stars hotel we used to stay is the people. Helga did her best to provide us with a Christmas tree, she was always available for our questions and requests. Thank you Ortnerhof!!!❤️ We would love to come back to Ortnerhof next year! Loved it!
