Lake Hawea is a paradise for those who love the outdoors. Handy 15 minute drive to Wanaka, it’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the Central Otago climate and landscape.
The active holidaymaker will easily stay occupied as Hawea and Wanaka are popular for cycling, skiing, hiking, boating, windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing. Adrenaline seekers also have a range of activities to choose from with skydiving, jetboating, bungy jumping, downhill mountainbiking and more all within a short drive of the accommodation.
There are 2 restaurants within 2 minutes walk of the cabin, 2 takeaway places, a bar and a local convenience store.
My house is a 5 minute walk from the lake!

Summary: This is a self contained sleep out to the rear of the hosts home.there is side access to unload your vehicle and park.A small fridge,plates,cups etc and microwave and hotplate are good to do basic cooking(kettle/toaster also).Comfortable bed,good shower,couch and should you need it,TV with dvd's.Easy walk to lake beach and nearby eateries/hotel.Friendly and helpful hosts.Peaceful area.easy to find.Cabin gets a bit hot with sun steaming in but a cooler is supplied and has ranch slider entrance for wide airing.Wee deck out front with table and chairs.We loved our stay here,magic country.Enjoy.
